For what it is worth/ yeaterdy afternoon I stopped by the theatre to check on tickets for this week  (and shamelessly listen if there were a performance happening inside) but the theatre was locked and looked completely dark. I doubt there was any rehearsal going on.

Assuming there is an invited dress scheduled for Tuesday night and assuming the snow forces it to be canceled, would the show start previews as scheduled on Wednesday without a dress rehearsal?

If they'e not in a position to give a public performance, they won't. It's not uncommon for this to happen during previews.

Given that this is a revival and not a brand-new show, it's possible that they could get by without the invited dress, since there have doubtlessly been other dress rehearsals. Even though the show is nearly sold-out, I would bet the producers would prefer not to cancel and refund a full house.

I think that they would likely play as scheduled but perhaps the director would come out prior to the performance to explain the dress rehearsal had been cancelled and that there might be some snafus. I'm sure the audience would be more than forgiving.

Is that even an option? I always figured invited dress was meant to be the people they invited, not that those people could just give them to others, etc.

Not sure. They'd still have an assigned seat and a ticket. Sometimes people just pickup invited dress tickets from Equity.

Not necessarily. All invited dresses I've been too have been general admission and a pass was required to get in, not a usual ticket.

Was invited tonight via an email and was told ticket was to be picked up at the box office under my name. I am hoping for assigned seats. The few that I have been to have been assigned seats. We shall see......

I've been to a couple of invites dress rehearsals. Usually you pick up a printed ticket under your name at the box office and then it's general admission (often times only upstairs since the creatives and their tables are often in the orchestra section)

I'm a musical theater student in NYC and don't have too much of a problem getting to the theater even in the worst of weather, so if anyone has a ticket for tonight they can't use, please PM me as well. Thank you.

@Terrence ..try calling your student union.  AT least in NYU they used to get invited to tons of invited dress rehearsals thru the student union office.   Also.. any Equity members should try ( I would call first) the Equity lounge.

If anyone gets a ticket I'd love to come. I'm a student also and prob won't be able to afford this. I'm not hoping for anything but maybe.
