Yes! I saw it a few weeks ago and had orchestra row U seats that were off to the side. Luckily, it was a matinee and we were able to move more towards the center
A question- if anyone has any ideas:
Let say a show is posted on TDF and you order tickets. And the offer remains posted for a week or two. Would I get better seat locations -say if I ordered when the show was first posted than the person who orders tickets after it had been posted for a while? Is there any "I ordered before another so I get better locations" or is it just random? Whatever the BO gives you that day at pick-up. Thx!
I am curious about Anastasia prices and seats that you get. Do they put the cheapiest tickets on sale with a half price too? I want to see Anastasia, but I don't want to pay more than 50-60$.
Groundhog Day- I saw in early July- evening performance. Row c, aisle center mezz.
it was a great seat. I thought show was ok but Andy Karl is great and def a great deal with tdf.

TDF is a membership deal. The ticket price is posted on their site and you might get Premium tickets or you might get the worst seats in the house but the price isn't going to change.
Are you maybe asking about TKTS?

Only chance for that is the SRO line for when a performance is sold out.

I have also thought a lot about this. So much so that I've asked people at the performance when they purchased their TDF tickets. Especially, when I've purchased a show that posts the same performance weeks before, and then again right before the performance. The people who recently purchased are ALWAYS in front of me.
From the people I have surveyed the ones who purchased later are the ones who usually get better seats. Its complete speculation but, I think it's a list that the box office gets and the names come in order of who purchased from last to first.
That's the theory I've come up with over the years. Lol

Still debating between rushing War Paint or just getting a TDF ticket now that it's up all the time.
@Famedbroadway: general consensus on here is that TDF tickets are given to the theater in alphabetical order and there is no bearing on when you ordered.
@vintagesnarker: easy! neither. Show is terrible and not worth your time or money :)

I'd say TDF. When I rushed, I got Orchestra Row D, but to the extreme side so it was partially obstructed, though not too terribly. At least with TDF you should have a full view seat, without the inconvenience of rushing.

Not sure if there's a thread where this was answered already (if so please direct me to it) but I purchased 2 tickets for a performance on TDF and a few days later added on another ticket to make my total 3 tickets to that performance. Does anyone know of the single ticket I added on will be with my other two seats (this is what I'm hoping for), or if the single ticket since purchased a few days afterwards will be separately sat from my 2 originally purchased tickets. I'm wondering if TDF will group them together because it's all on one account? Thanks! ??
My TDF tickets to War Paint were very good seats. Orchestra Row L, full view.
