Just so you know, following Macbeth or Lady Macbeth will probably be difficult unless you have an early entry time and get in and catch one of them for the first cycle. They tend to have a lot of people following them, and I know Macbeth in particular runs up and down stairs quite a lot (as do many of the other characters).

As others have said, there are many places to sit if you need to, and you can also go back to the Manderley and listen to the music, etc. if you like and then dive back into the action when you're ready.

It is a very physical show to experience though...I'm 21 and in pretty good physical health and both times I've seen it I've been exhausted afterwards from running around and all of the walking (I've done the full 3 hours both times and it's definitely a lot).

Bumping this thread.i am going back next week and was just invited to their secret dinner that night. Has anyone heard of this and done it or know someone who has? Is it worth it to spend the money? Any info I'm curious on before I decide to do it or not

If you're old enough to avail yourself of the unlimited wine it's definitely worth the money. (Three courses and wine for $55? That's not a bad deal.) I loved it and I'd gladly pay for it again.

Finally saw this, and I LOVED it. I know I missed so much, but I was really, really shocked. Just such a cool, unique experience.

Question though: Exactly what is the plot? I know it's Macbeth, but I kept running into the pregnant lady who was trying to drink some sort of milk-like liquid? She had a scene with an older-lady in the hotel restaurant and then again in the big dance scene. Was that more of the Rebecca story?

May I just say thank you to Ripped Man for bumping this thread.

Little story--The first time I saw Sleep No More, the thing burrowed into my brain like no other show. Within a day I was obsessed, and had to scour the internet for any info on the piece by other viewers. Which led me to a little site called Broadwayworld.com and this very thread, which I greedily digested from beginning to end (at the time only 8 or 9 pages long). So without that show, I would never have found this crazy obsessive dysfunctional hilarious online community that I've been a tiny part of ever since.

Hello there. I'm not sure if you've found it or not, but there is an incredibly active fan community for SLEEP NO MORE that has formed on Tumblr. There's an active tag (Sleep No More) and numerous (some would say too many) fan blogs dedicated to the show. If you haven't found it, and are interested, start with my blog at http://bloodwillhavebloodtheysay.tumblr.com-- at the top I have a tab called SLEEP NO MORE links, which include most of the active Tumblr accounts that I am aware of. There may be a few news ones since I updated.

Anyway, it's a typical fandom, lots of silliness, lots of discussion, lots of sharing of experiences, and occasionally some drama, but there is a really fantastic community of people who are eager to share in all things SLEEP NO MORE there.

Ugh, now I'm going to be up until 4am reading all this.

I actually use to be a "steward," but you don't really get to experience the show. So I'm happy I went and got to experience it like an audience member.

What is on the top floor? It's just a one on one and no one else is allowed to go up there, right? How long does it last?

Been skimming through this thread since I finally went to Sleep No More last night. I was not nearly as exhausted as a lot of other people mentioned, but I made it a point not to try to follow too many of the actors. I loved looking at the production design and all the tiny props (and candy!).

I'm also surprised how many people in this thread have said it was hot in there, but those were mostly posts from the summer. It was pretty pleasant last night, probably because it was so cold outside.

In the warmer weather, the inside temps vary significantly.

RippedMan, yes, it's a one-on-one only. There are a couple ways to get chosen for it. The whole thing lasts maybe 5 minutes.

My one-on-one on the top floor with the wheelchair was just....lots of feelings. Was definitely something I wouldn't have minded going on for a few more minutes.

Has anyone done the Gallow Green before a performance? What exactly is the deal with that, since they don't take reservations if you're a party of less than eight? Do they serve food before a performance or is it just drinks? Thank you!

Remember when this was a limited run and the ticket you couldn't get? I am happy to see it's still running strong, considering I can't remember the last time I saw any advertising for it. Are the crowds as big as they were before? Are they discounting? I would like to go back.

Never any advertising and never any discounts.

I've had cocktails at the Gallows Green rooftop restaurant before the show. It's completely separate from the show. Once you're through, you come back downstairs and join the line to enter The McKittrick Hotel (performance space). If you're into overpriced food and drinks in a rooftop setting, then it's OK. Otherwise, I'd pass. They've also opened another restaurant called The Heath that accepts reservations for before and after the show. I haven't tried it, and probably won't. I'm a purist. I'm not really into the theme park extra elements. However, I love the show and saw it for the 8th time a couple of weeks ago. Although they appear to have made a few changes since my last visit about a year ago, it still impresses!

Thanks for the info, Luscious. I'm planning on going with my roommate sometime this summer (it'll be her first time and my fourth). I've been to see the show since they opened the Gallow Green, but I've only gone in the winter for some reason and it's never been open. I investigated the Heath but it's pretty pricey...I'm okay with overpaying a little for a cocktail, but I just don't have the money for the show and an expensive dinner beforehand.

I found the food to be really high quality ingredients and delicious. But we've only grabbed appetizers and drinks and, yeah, it was pricey in the way things are pricey nowadays but not insanely so. Maybe it was a little less expensive because we didn't get any meat options.
