Show Curtains |

The curtain at the beginning of 'Memphis' from the box seats. I liked how they had it so it looked like the water was moving.
I wouldn't dare take one a Memphis. They have a nazi usher.
Also, what is with the piece of something that hangs off the proscenium the entire show? It doesn't do anything & disrupts the view.

"Hi there, we represent The Broadway Better Business Players for a Better Tomorrow. We're trying to start a petition to get second rate shows taken off the marquee and with your help we can stop Mamma Mia from ever playing again." -Brad Jones in Suburban Knights

"No, but I wish I did so I could shove it down your throat!" - Bernadette

I managed to snag that one. Didn't dare try again during intermission.
And I can't say I really noticed anything hanging, so idk.

Please TheatreFan4: I do not live in the United States. Could you tell me about the set you've posted in the last message? Thank you in advance. Best, Will.
How does the proscenium disrupt the show, TF4?
"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert
From where I sat it cut off a bit of the heads of people on the hanging street set piece.

^ From the balcony, you don't fully see the TV-like screen curtains during Heuy's television show.
The world was created for ME!
I love that those videos are live.

Me too. When standing on the stage. The theatre seems pretty small. Next time I see the show, I'll get mezz seats.
The world was created for ME!
Gotcha. I was in the orchestra, so I guess I shouldn't talk.

Oh, I have no clue what's up with that thing; I never noticed it. I was in the box seats (yay, student tickets) so I was partial view anyway (when it came to things on the far left side). I couldn't see the screens for the most part anyway, but you can't beat $26 for a show!
I sat front row of the mezz and saw the entire stage fine. I love the curtains before the show and during intermission. However, there were some times when that steel truss? is it? was blocking some of the stuff in the street set piece.
This is gonna sound dumb but in Night Music, how do those pictures that appear in the glass work? Does someone put them there or are they on a track or something?
Butters, go buy World of Warcraft, install it on your computer, and join the online sensation before we all murder you.

ATTENTION FANS: I will be played by James Barbour in the upcoming musical, "BroadwayWorld: The Musical."
I love, love, love Night Music's set. David Farley does a masterful job with those Menier scenic designs.
Oh and for any other teenage guys on here, if you rush ALNM and get front row seats, Bernadette will make eye contact with and address you during her "We women have the right..." speech.

What a colossal piece of crap! It'll probably run for years.
What is the curtain for the new revival of Mrs. Warren's Profession? And does anyone have a picture? Thanks.

Anyone have 'All Shook Up'?

I loved Memphis and Addams Family had a gorgeous... and spooky curtain.
The proscenium was fine in orchestra, but I actually was wondering how it would block sight lines up in the mezz. obviously it did.
This one is a bad photo... last minute tickets :/ Legally Blonde :)
Anyone have the pre show set up/curtain for Toxic Avanger or Young Frankenstein?
