Chicago is very female based. The main leads are female with a whole mess of murderesses. The men, minus Billy and Amos, can be few, if need be.

I know it was an ickle bit of a flop lol but Carrie had strong female leads (Margaret, Carrie, Sue, Chris, Miss Gardner) and a very strong female ensemble

The Pajama Game

You have Babe, Gladys, Mabel, Mae (all have solos), plus all those girls in the factory. This is a really fun show to do at a high school.
