Kathleen Turner's nudity was in The Graduate, not Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, where she appeared in a slip.
The nudity in Dracula changed during previews, and if I remember correctly, they did away with the nudity for matinee performances.

Or maybe I was thinking about Carla Gugino's nude scene in After the Fall, that same season - she definitely had her back to the audience when she stepped out of her robe.
Faced with these Loreleis, what man can moralize!

Posted: 4/16/07 at 5:29pmIn general I think guys are more comfortable with casual nudity. Friends of mine who have played nude scenes say that after the first one it's not a big deal. Funny that in movies, actresses are more inclined (forced?) to do nude scenes than actors.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

Saw it in previews and the matinee at the end of the run. Not too much changed, but the nudity certainly was not changed - nor did they do away with it for matinees.

Posted: 4/16/07 at 5:56pmBut people still find it shocking to see male nudity. I remember seeing a Wed matinee of Love Valour Compassion and there was an audible gasp from the audience at the first penis that was in clear view.
The truly beautiful should be lawfully restricted from wearing clothing; and the truly butt-ugly should be lawfully mandated from going naked.

It's his opinion, why don't you add how you feel about the topic instead of debasing his?
As for me, I find nudity to be fine unless it makes for an awkward moment that has nothing to do with the story and doesn't make sense being there. Sometimes nudity is done to elicit a reaction and for no other reason which is when I feel it pulls the scene down.

Kelli naked in Dracula was the best thing about that show.. and totally the best thing about sitting in the front row... she looked awesome...
Okay.. the affect that sucked her robe thing into the ground when she walked across was really cool.

I swear when I saw PASSION, both Jere Shea and Marin Mazzie did full frontal, backal, and sidal when they got out of the bed.
Back in the late 1980's, Roundabout's PRIVATES ON PARADE featured full frontal Donna Murphy, as well as a locker room/shower scene involving full frontal John Curry (the late figure skating champ) and rear shots of Edward Hibbert, the ubiquitous Greg Jbara, and a few other I can't recall.
