Did she actually go on last night?
"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife
For those who have seen her, does she act with her whole body as Elphaba? I think she's got an amazing laser-piercing belt, but when I saw her in Aida and in The Times, she seemed so wooden. Yes, I know that's part of Amneris' character, but she seems like a great singer but not a very emotive actress. Anyone else feel this way?

I was there Tuesday night and Lisa was phenomenal. She really acts the hell out of the role, much more I thought than even Idina (gasp). It was so fresh and since I was sitting pretty close you could really see so much going on with her thought process as an actor. She had a great build throughout the show. Her "Wizard and I" got the audience on her side and was full of hope and the more shy, shunned against side of the character and her "Defying Gravity" was just immensely powerful and controlled. She was just so perfect in this role that I hope she gets to take over one day. Her "No Good Deed" was deliciously wicked and even though she kind of ran out of breath midway through the last note she took another big breath and belted out an awesome riff to finish it off. I have only seen Idina back with the original cast in 2003 but I honestly prefereed Lisa! AWESOME JOB.

Yay! I'm so glad she was good. It's so weird for me to think of her as green, but I'm sure she is fabulous like you said. I will have to try to see her.

CHECK IT OUT! GREAT AUDIOS!
I saw her on April 1, which is the same day the audios are from, hmmmmmmm who did that? lol But anyway I thought she was very very good. I know she hasn't been on that much but if she keeps making improvements like she has so far in the role, I think she could be one of the better elphies. I would love to see her take over after Julia and see her take on the role, because they are making her follow Julia right now. I would really love to see her do her own thing
