One chance to see a show, don't want to blow it. |

Wanted to add on if anyone has seen The play that goes wrong.
I saw the 10 minute clip online, and found it hysterical, and was wondering if that transfers into 2 full hours."
The ten minutes are the funniest parts in my view, but then I've seen it twice, and I'm in the minority in not finding it very funny. If you want slapstick, go watch some three stooges.
Just to reply to the Play That Goes Wrong Question, yes, it's amazing! I cannot recommend the show enough; I first went to the show about two months ago when I was dealing with a lot of difficult things in my life, and I left the theatre feeling so much better. I felt so refreshed, rejuvenated, and happy. This show was everything I needed. I laughed almost the entire show!
WaffleOnWheels, I very highly recommend this show! I saw the show again this past Saturday with my boyfriend, who's not a huge theatre fan, and he's STILL talking about the show! I spoke with the cast, and they said that they're only going to be in the States until September, so PLEASE go see this amazing company shine in this show, which they wrote and developed themselves! You won't regret it!
The Play That Goes Wrong is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen on Broadway. Belly laughter. I highly recommend it.
I've seen TPTGW twice now and I was shocked to find it just as hilarious the second time as the first. One of the funniest plays I've ever seen.
I thought the Play That Goes Wrong was so boring. I know I am in the minority. The whole audience was dying laughing. I almost left at intermission. I didn't but I actually thought about it. The only other show I would have left at intermission is 1984 if it had an intermission.
Please see Wicked and then come back and explain why the show is still playing to nearly sold out theater every night, if the audience is really made up of 13 year old girls, and if they still think that Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel are playing the leads.
Come From Away or Groundhog Day. Miss Saigon and Bandstand are alright but definitely inferior to GHD & CFA. Wicked will still be around for years so no hurry there.
OP, especially since you enjoyed the Play That Goes Wrong clip from the Royal Variety Performance, you'll definitely enjoy the show! The entire 2 hours is just like those 10 minutes!
If you want more from that company, I recommend you look on YouTube for their performance of Peter Pan Goes Wrong, which was broadcasted on the BBC last Christmastime. It's done in a very similar style, but the shows are both very different, so the gags, etc. aren't recycled. Hope you enjoy!
