Yes!!!!!!!!

I loved Gad in Book of Mormon. And his supporting roles. But a film with him as lead. Especially THIS remake?  I'm not sure I want to see that much of him.

An egomaniac and a girl who thinks she can sing but is simply a talentless girl?

Nah.

a) no one has been cast.

b) be sure to let me know when this actually happens because

c) for now it's just a press agent placing a story on Deadline, who exists primarily for that reason.

This is The Little Shop of Horrors, for crying out loud!!!!!.  I think his role in Mormon is every bit a leading role as it Seymour.  I guess that, compared to sexy leading man Rick Moraniss, Jake Gyllenhaal would have been a real let-down.

Ben Platt as Seymour is of course perfect.  He just needs to eat like 2 months of Panda Express.  Then....perfection.

Huh?

Also, this exclusive is from a source I've never heard of (That Hashtag Show) and has not been confirmed or even reported by a reputable entertainment news source. So I'm taking it with a big grain of salt.

count me among those that like both but think this idea is terrible. Ben Platt and Lady Gaga could be great!

I'm sure Gaga would sing the **** out of the score, but she's just not very funny or interesting on screen. It's like all these people begging for her to play Fanny Brice in FUNNY GIRL. They'd have to rename it GIRL.
