Kathy Griffin's photo |
"Just to be clear, I oppose the use of actual force against Trump regardless of his own crimes, but that's because it would produce a horrible backlash, not because Trump hasn't earned it."
And I want to be clear - I'm one who can't even say the words president and Trump together. HOWEVER - you said Trump earned having his head cut off. Exactly how has he earned that? He was voted in by half the people in this country-not his fault,

That's an easy one:
US air strike in Mosul killed at least 105 civilians, Pentagon confirms

She crossed the line as much as I did once for posting a pic of a group of women poking fun at a nude statue of Trump. I didn't apologize after the fact and really wish she hadn't. Trump has little regard for constitutional norms, the environment, or anyone outside his clan and/or the priesthood. So, in a show of solidarity with Kathy, I say...f*ck him. Hopefully, the Trump-Kushner cartel will be disbanded soon freeing them to hunt for Obama's real birth certificate in Kenya. Trump is a vile, unscrupulous, grandstanding, poseur who deserves an unending torrent of public scorn.

Did you actually read that article? Or just paste the title.

Actually just a little over 20% of eligible voters voted for this disaster.
^ yes, it's a shame that only 40% of eligible voters voted at all. Each candidate got about half. Pity.

Yes, I know the Pentagon blames ISIS for these specific civilian deaths, but I regard that as nonsense. It was the US bomb that led to all of these deaths. At any rate, I meant this recent example to stand in for many other cases that could have been cited. You can't credibly deny the fact that Trump has ordered strikes that have killed dozens or hundreds of civilians.
I don't deny that Trump is bozo and is ruining the country. But when I see that photo, it reminds me of the same ones that we saw with the beheadings that our men suffered.
It's just sick and wrong.
I hate the man and certainly wouldn't shed a single tear if he dropped dead of natural causes (and given his lifestyle, I can't imagine it's that far from the realm of possibility), but this was bad and she should have known that. All it does is give ammo to people who think he's being unfairly attacked. It is absolutely hypocritical for him to have invited Ted Nugent to the White House despite what he said about both Obama and Hillary (though I guess they bonded over being cowards and dodging the draft) but his supporters don't give a damn.

I can accept that. However, no one really has anything to fear from me. I'm mainly using this as an opportunity to get off my chest the level of my hatred for Trump, which I'll wager is quite a bit more intense than most others here.
I never agree with Broadway Concierge, but sorry, kdogg36, he's right about this.
That being said, the blatant Republican hypocrisy on this issue needs to be discussed as well.
My name is neither "adam" nor "greer."
I don't think anything I've said here implies that my hatred for Trump is so intense as to be pathological. In fact, I think that's quite impossible.

If that photo is thrilling to you and a real beheading photo would as you so classily described it, make you cum in your pants... congrats dude, you qualify.
As far as "I've never made a threat and never will.", who can forget your thread about wanting to start a violent overthrow of the U.S. government. Of course, the next morning, after South Florida signed up as your first recruit, you all of a sudden remembered it was "not a good time" for you to start a violent revolution as you had I guess other stuff to do. You would have been great during the American Revolution... "KDogg we're ready to go to Lexington and fight the British." "Umm, yeah guys about that, my wife's gonna kill me if I don't get the new horse shod and the barn cleaned out. You go ahead and if you win, let me know and I'll join you to celebrate."
Don't flatter yourself by thinking no one here except you possibly hates Trump THAT much. There are plenty of people here who detest Trump as much as you do, myself included. And I also detest the constant hypocrisy of the right complaining about this while having no problem proudly bringing Obama and Hillary effigies being hanged to rallies with them. But Griffin was stupid and she should have known better though she doesn't seem to have a lot going on right now and I suspect this was as much about her getting attention to spark her career as it was about making a political statement. If that's true, she obviously miscalculated rather badly. All it did was remove the focus from Trump and his misdeeds for a news cycle and help him divert the attention to something else. He does that enough. We don't need to help him.

It really is quite simple. Griffin obviously thought the hatred of Trump was so strong she could do anything and probably thought she would be praised for doing it. I am glad to see this act of hers was denounced by all sensible people of both parties. I hope she has basically destroyed her career, words due have consequences as many others have discovered.

"Yes. Absolutely. The only thing wrong with the photo is that it's not real. That photo would make me cum in my pants."
Like others have said, you really do need help if that kind of thing turns you on. I really wonder what your parents, friend and family think of your FB page.
kdogg is a monster, please! If he would have written simply "I have no problem with this picture...", he would've been fine. He just really likes this picture.
Overall I think I've had my say here and will accept that others not only disagree but think I'm scary or sick. Obviously I don't think so, but I won't try to convince you otherwise.
But I wanted to say something about this:

Well, come on. There's no credible group of people ready to take down a tyrant like there was on the eve of the Revolution. One or two people scattered here and there aren't going to do it; they're just going to destroy their own lives and cause a crackdown on the freedoms of everyone else. Right now, even the most vocal Trump-haters seem to be denouncing the thought of the use of force, and that makes this the wrong time to try to start anything.
I'll readily admit that that one was a post-partying post and not well thought-out. But you know, I'm not really hurting anyone by using this board from time to time to blow off some extreme anti-Trump steam.
Hey, kdogg, have you thought about entering this contest? Sounds like it's right up your alley. :)

I find it equally appalling no matter who the "victim" is. I thought both circumstances crossed lines. The fact that he's a hypocrite doesn't change that at all.

Ha! I thought the same thing when I saw it, but I'm not a songwriter. I'm wondering if Sondheim, or whoever created the contest, has thought through the kinds of submissions they might get in this climate. :)

It goes beyond Trump at this point. Anyone who becomes sexually aroused by a picture of a decapitated head has much larger issues. They greatly exceed any ill will you might harbor against a public figure. If you would be legitimately turned on by a picture of Trump's decapitated head, I'd strongly advise you seek professional help. That's simply not normal, regardless of the subject in question.

I think people have taken that line a bit too literally.
