As for the choice?  Snore.  I'm not a fan as I find him disingenuous and bland.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

But isn't LIVE pretty bland? I mean, I'm not tuning in to their discussion on the Middle East, or whatever. It's just bland, early morning banter. I'd rather watch The View anyday. Or Hoda and Kathy Lee.

Should Kelly worry about Ryan's commitment with Live after ABC announced they are rebooting American Idol?

But that doesn't matter, because we're all here. And with all of our differences we have one thing in common. We're all gay.

Remember that though it's phrased as "Kelly picks" a cohost, there is a whole team of producers and network executives who have many, many fingers in this decision. I can guarantee that the American Idol discussion has taken place many, many times and they are comfortable with their decision (whether it's a good decision or not I can't say, but it is not something that was a surprise to those running the show at ABC).
