Anyone rushed the show recently?

Wanting to rush on a two show day, and wondering the latest we could get there to be ensured tickets. (I live an hour or so away from the city)

We hit the box office today around 2 pm and scored two seats in the box for $40 each for Friday 8 pm show. Great seats.

Thanks for the report, prosec. Hope you enjoyed the show!

Anybody else rush War Paint recently? Going to try for tomorrow or Saturday and have no idea what to expect, since I haven't tried since March.

Any recent rush reports? How have the seats been? I would like to try rushing this coming Sunday. Thank you!

I rushed on Thursday. Got there at 6:45ish.  Very nice guy, said there were no rush left....then told us to wait a minute...he made a phone call and then sold us two box seats for the rush price.  I think they may release the boxes  an hour before curtain, hence the  phone call for the early release.

Great seats. Only part of the stage was not visible - but none of the action (or lack thereof) took place on extreme sides.

Bad news is, the show is disposable. Nothing to write home about. Patti Lupone works it, though.  She is everything!

I'm planning to rush this show this Saturday. If I arrive at the box office around 10:30, what are my chances of getting 2 tickets for the evening show? Are rush seats still generally available at that time (including boxes) or is the line pretty packed?

What factors make it so that you can only arrive as late as 10:30AM?

I'll be driving in that morning...by the time I arrive the box office will likely have just opened. There is a possibility I might make it in earlier, just asking on the chances of getting tickets in the likelihood that i arrive around 10:30 ish!

The funny thing about the arrival times after driving is they can be made earlier by simply getting less sleep ... what a concept.

What business is it of yours that she can't get there until 10:30am? She asked a questions and you were a complete ass to her for no reason. Absolutely ridiculous.

What business is it of yours?  And do NOT mistake "can't" with "doesn't want to".

Get on the line as early as possible people ... stop with the whinning about sleep, it's past sad.

I don't think encouraging people to drive while sleep deprived is a good idea. Doesn't help anyone if they never make it to the show and possibly kill and/or injure themselves or someone else in the process.  No show is worth that.

Where did I suggest that they don't go to bed at least 8 hours before waking up?

That's not advocating that people get 8 hours of sleep and certainly comes off as suggesting that sleep isn't important.

My comment was more of a general one, which is why I didn't quote you directly. I've had friends and co-workers killed and/or injured due to driving while sleep deprived, so it's a personal issue. People should avoid drowsy driving whether it's for theater tickets or not.

ETA - I'm usually in agreement with you when people ask when to show up, that the answer is if they really care, they'll show up as early as possible. The difference is when driving is added to the mix.

To address the actual question being asked here: I got a rush ticket for a Thursday a couple weeks ago at 4pm. So, while there are no guarantees, I would guess you'd have a good chance at tickets if you don't get there til 10:30.
