This is really no laughing matter. This is serious stuff. This administration and what it is doing is downright scary, and this is only what we do know. I don't even want to think about what is being done that we don't know about.

It's unnerving to be faced with these kind of reports on an almost daily basis.

The president and his cabinet are proving that they are unfit to run this country.

The only thing they are going to succeed in is running it into the ground.

With this presidency we have truly entered an extremely dark, dark age.

All of this in the space of 1 month.

It's like a horrible nightmare.

The bull**** spin that it's about the leaks, rather than about what the leaks impart has got to stop.  
It's a distraction used by both Democrats and Republicans.  It was used by the Clinton campaign as unpersuasively as it is now being used by Trump.
Yes, of course leaks and cyber theft are serious concerns, and often criminal ones.
But that takes nothing away from the value of what we learn through them, which in the case of Flynn's conversations about the lifting of sanctions with the Russian ambassador, is both criminal and raises serious questions:  first and foremost, was Flynn acting under Trump's direction.

Equally importantly, why should it have taken a leak to force Flynn's resignation?  Why didn't Trump get rid of Flynn when he was told about the conversations?  For Trump to spin this to be about the leaks is rich.  It wouldn't have had to be about the leaks if he had done the right thing and gotten rid of Flynn weeks ago.   Why didn't he?   Perhaps just out of loyalty and wanting to give him a chance.  But perhaps - and to my mind a much more likely one - because he was was the one who asked Flynn to discuss sanctions - and to do so prior to his inauguration! - with Russia in the first place.

Though they show no ability to govern, do not underestimate the reich's ability to manipulate the media, often at the same time they are discrediting it.  Keep an eye out for a flashier, though less dangerous scandal to change the narrative.

The distraction method has been a particular favorite of Republicans since the 2008 race, so that's just a given.  They are going to start flinging spaghetti like crazy in hopes that their supporters will make enough noise to drown out the actual issues.  That's why we are STILL hearing about emails when they are irrelevant to the current events.  The desperate excuses are going to be suitable for framing.

We have today the frightening statement by Rep. Devin Nunes, chairman of the House Intelligence Oversight Committee, that he is not at all concerned with investigating the links between the Trump administration and Russia, or why Trump and his senior advisors kept Flynn on after learning about his lies.

No, Rep. Nunes is only concerned that the truth came out, and wants to investigate how that happened and how it can be stopped.

There is absolutely no question that this administration is corrupt down to it's core.

Mike Flynn is so stupid that while protesting his innocence, he admits that he's guilty:

 

Flynn insisted that he crossed no lines in his telephone conversation with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak: “If I did, believe me, the FBI would be down my throat, my clearances would be pulled. There were no lines crossed.”

Flynn said there was a brief discussion of the 35 Russian diplomats who were being expelled by Obama in retaliation for Moscow’s alleged interference in the 2016 campaign.

“It wasn’t about sanctions. It was about the 35 guys who were thrown out,” Flynn said. “So that’s what it turned out to be. It was basically, ‘Look, I know this happened. We’ll review everything.’ I never said anything such as, ‘We’re going to review sanctions,’ or anything like that.”

Flynn said he apologized to Vice President Mike Pence about his earlier contention that there were no discussions about the expulsion order, which was part of the Obama sanctions.
