Yes, we have heard that is your opinion of her before and I do not share it.  I will agree that she is an inspiration specifically to foreign models that they can get an H1-B Visa handed to them, of which Captain Creamsicle had stated, "“The H1-B program is neither high-skilled nor immigration: these are temporary foreign workers, imported from abroad, for the explicit purpose of substituting for American workers at lower pay", and start gold-digging for a wealthy man nearly twice their age to give them a life of luxury and citizenship, if they obey their husbands, and perhaps become First Lady if they chose a sugar daddy who happens to get elected President.

I am sure if it was Hillary or Michelle or Lena Dunham, you would feel differently.

As for Hillary or Michelle, I would feel surprised, given their history.  I'm not a Lena Dunham fan, so I probably wouldn't feel anything.

This is the way of the world in poor countries and no shame if Melanie did this [does she still send money to family-are they still alive?no interest to look that up].

Who cares where she comes from and what she did to get there?--we all have SOME dirt in our past and if she now has to have sex and pretend enjoyment she deserves all the surrounding luxury to block out the image of that man on top[or not] of her.

Go for it girl I say. There are millions who look just as good as you, even some drag queens, but without the title of Previous First Lady. If you want to stick your face on a perfume bottle, a piece of soap or nappy wash and the public is stupid enough to buy it--more fool them.

Shhhh...don't tell Petra.  She doesn't know the whole First Lady title is also luck of the draw.

Who cares where she comes from and what she did to get there?

Petra certainly does!  It's how she and Camp Orange market the immigrant Cinderella American Dream story.  That's my point.  It conveniently ignores everything about who she married, how she accepts being treated by her "spouse" (employer), and her blind support of anything he says or does.  Being denigrated, ignored and treated as a contracted employee by your husband is totally fine, but slut-shaming is an unacceptable way for a woman to be treated?  If you're going to call people hypocrites for engaging in "selective feminism" you should probably check your own words and behavior.  And the immigrant "American Dream" story of Melabia is certainly inspiring for many poor women around the world who dream of wealth and celebrity, but it's NOT the classic story Petra is foolishly trying to sell.

Personally, I don't care if she was a sex worker previously or not.  I've never judged people on how they choose to live their lives as long as it doesn't hurt others.  That is something conservatives have historically taken on.  My issue is the distorted picture being painted of her by Petra and the willfully ignorant to conveniently ignore the multitude of other issues surrounding her, her husband, their marriage, their behavior, their family and their acceptance as current role models on behalf of Americans.  If you're going to pretend to care about the treatment of women, start with looking at his treatment of her and her acceptance of it.  She may not be spouting the stupid evil crap he says on a daily basis, but that doesn't absolve her of responsibility, especially now that we're expected to accept her as a First Lady.

I truly abhor this family.  With the exception of the children who are too young to know better.  I can only hope they grow up to disown and disavow their parents and relatives out of shame and embarrassment.
