I am sure it is going to take a few days to get any substantial news. Takes the doctors time to determine the extent of the damage and to see how her body recoups. Just went through something similar with a very dear friend of mine. He had a stroke and a heart attack at pretty much the same time. It has been a tough fight back but he is doing well. I hope she will as well!

Crushingly sad news. Last night we just finished watching her appearance on the Graham Norton Show that she recorded right before getting on that plane back to the States. She was a brilliant funny lady who always had an amazing story to tell.

So many of my friends and colleagues had been working with her lately - on Star Wars and other projects. Of the many heartfelt messages on my TL right now this brought a lump to my throat.

"I was lucky enough to work with her earlier this year on an IBM commercial screened for the Oscars. Carrie had us all singing from the Sound of Music during the costume fitting in her trailer - Ironically it was 'Goodbye, Farewell, Auf wiedersehen, Adieu ..' She sang and conducted us in the 'Glam Squad' as we tried on different outfits, hair and make up.
She was such fun, endearing, bonkers, vulnerable and a seriously good actress. I hope that her beloved dog Gary Fisher was with her to the end.
