I've seen some backlash against the writers who have been criticized for dealing with race issues even though they are primarily white. Any thoughts on this?

I don't think writing about race issues should be the province solely of people who have to deal with them in their lives. That's just silly. But people will always complain.

That's ridiculous. That's like getting mad at men who write roles for women.

Don't even get me started on complaints from fandoms about what and how shows get written.  Do I always love everything a writer creates? Absolutely not. However,  I don't get why people have to be rude and make demands on writers. You also get the ones who think they can write better material,  which I disagree with,  mostly.

I like a lot of the characters.  I do think sometimes there are way too many though.  Like I counted 17 regular cast members.  Plus you get the ones like Norma,  Sophia,  Maritza, Maria, Leanne,  Angie, etc... around frequently. I think this could be why some things don't seem to get closure.

Best season since S1.

i thought the death was laughable due to tastes reaction. She was unconscious on the floor....how does the entire room equate that to death so quickly? It was a bizarre reaction. but the subsequent chain events were all handled beautifully.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Finished 12 this week.  My daughters warned me - they texted a few weeks crying about the death.

Overall, excellent season. Back stories interesting and the caliber of acting is superb. Judy King amuses me. And Lolly might be one of my favs ever.

Well I doubt we'll see her again.
