SURVIVOR: Brawns vs Brains vs Beauty

Last night was crazy and quickly slipped from entertaining to uncomfortably scary. I think we were very close to seeing Caleb's death out there and that's no joke. The challenge was for coffee and spices, which is a pretty crappy reward to begin with, so all the suffering felt extra pointless. 

 

Scot and Jason are just the absolute worst and I detest watching them. The only way they will be able to redeem their story arcs is if they face a major comeuppance, and the sooner the better.

I'm so depressed that Caleb is gone. It seems like they're going to bring him back for another season so there's some hope. Maybe they could do a tribe of people who had to be evacuated during their seasons. 

 

The fat ex-NBA player (I have no desire to know his name) is revolting. His gross dragon tattoo around his belly button and his Son of Poison backpiece make me want to vomit. The other "Brawn" people are disgusting as well. Hopefully since their tribe is decimated and there aren't any real cracks within the other tribes (aside from Obama) they'll be gone after a tribe switch.

The guys were so ridiculous acting like children, but they sure made up for it with their hilarious idol game at tribal.

Hilarious?  Ugh.  They just keep getting more smug and obnoxious.  As soon as they started discussing the idols during tribal, they were so transparent, it was obvious exactly how it was going to play out.  The show they put on was just a gross display of arrogance.  If they had ever watched the show, they should be aware that nobody wins using the bully strategy.  They just look like @ssholes.  It's just lucky for them that the other side is strategically weak.  

I'm just sad that the one person I was rooting for was Neal.  I'll ride this season out and just hope it gets better.

Agree completely Mr. Matt. I find this season to be tedious and boring. I'm only watching out of loyalty. But at least the past 2 episodes were somewhat entertaining. 

 

I think Cydney is the only one left that I will root for to win.  And Michelle is the one that I always forget is even on the show. Every time she appears in a shot I think "who's that?" Completely forgetting she  existed.

Oh thank God for tonight's tribal..maybe now I can start enjoying this season.

Last night was sweet beyond words. The editing made it pretty obvious that either Jason or Scot would be going on, and by tribal it was clear which one it had it be, but that didn't stop it from being the most satisfying vote of the season.

 

That moment when Scot was looking at Tai like, come on, play the idol and he just had to say no was priceless!

 

Aubrey has become my favorite player and I think will go very far.

I'm rooting for Tai and Aubrey.  I think both are deserving in their own ways.

I hope we see the last of Jason next week.  He and Scot were loathsome.

I felt like this season finally started!  The end of tribal had me giggling with glee.  Tai's defiant stand against the bullies was the best move thus far.  Scot and Jason either have never watched the show or simply never paid attention.  God, they were nauseating to watch.  Tai is in such a strong position now, I'd love to see him win immunity again next week just to watch everyone scramble.  Tai really made the best move possible for his game.   He's going to earn a LOT of vrespect from most of the jury.   Unfortunately, he's also going to be the biggest target now.

Well, of course I'll be watching tonight but I really don't care who wins. Every week I hoped  for the season to get better but it never did. And every week I thought I'd finally get the whole Tai love but I never did. I hated his game play. ( with the exception of the Scot blindside )    But unfortunately I have the feeling there will be a lot more Tai in future seasons and Jeff will introduce him as " One of the most popular players EVER!!" 

I am looking forward to the reunion, though. Jeff always asks the questions on my mind. And I hope he calls out Scot and Jason for their behavior.

I'm fine with Michele winning. I don't really care about this crap season. 

 

And now next season is Millenials vs. Gen X. I hope Jeff has some ribbons to hand out to the kids when they get eliminated or stickers or something like that, so they don't cry and scream about how the game is rigged.

And the best way to cap a ****ty season? A ****ty reunion show. What the hell was that?!!

I loved the twist of voting off a jury member.  

I'm disappointed that neither Tai or Aubrey won.  Michelle is one of the least deserving winners, in my opinion.

Loved Joe.  I hope he gets another chance to play.  

Also think Tai is a special person.

I might one of a handful of Survivor fans who is happy for Michelle.  She flew under the radar practically the entire game, and then soared in the final challenges and did extremely well with her answers at the final tribal council.  Congrats to her, and can't wait for next season!

Honestly, I think Michele played a good game. Flying under the radar like that is a really hard thing to do in a game like this and requires so much more than luck. She wasn't the flashiest player so it's understandable people weren't thrilled with it but I'm happy for her. She played her game and it got her a million dollars.

I completely agree with you, Jordan. In a way, Michele reminded me of Tina from Season 2 - extremely under the radar.  A main difference is Tina won Survivor without having to win a single challenge.  Michele won the challenges at the end when it mattered most - she took full advantage of her opportunities and claimed the big prize.  I'm happy for her.

I also believe that she played a great game.  I'm not sure that I agree that she flew under the radar -- her name was brought up for elimination almost every week. I was personally routing for Aubrey for the win and was glad that she got final votes.
