Thanks all. I am planning to contact the theater. If they want to keep an eye out they can, if not they won't but it can't hurt. I guess I'll write them a letter since I'm not sure how else to get ahold of them?  I would think they'd have email but I can't find anything online.

Hopefully if this happens to others they will trust their gut and speak up. I wish I would have.

I'm really sorry this happened to you, ChiTheaterFan.  I wouldn't be too hard on yourself.  It's so common when things like this happen to women, that we second-guess ourselves.   I know I have.   By sharing what happened, you are putting other women on alert about this, and if it happens to them, they will be more quick to act and speak up.   And letting the theater know, hopefully will result in them keeping a more vigilant eye on the crowd.

It's this kind of thing that is SO hard to do anything about.  I'm sure it's near impossible to tell by watching what is going on - lots of people get too close on these situations.  And when someone does speak up, or likely even just move away, the perpetrator simply walks away before anything can be done.

Good for you for speaking up to us, it both can help another, and I hope it's helped you.

(Reason 45 why not to stage door?) ??

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
