Back then people had a cow, man. My own brother forbade my nieces from watching it, unbeknownst to me. The nieces appealed to me for intervention and I told him to lay off and let them watch. I've been The Cool Auntie/Uncle ever since.

One of the greatest moments of my life was meeting cartoonist Lynda Barry and saying something that made her laugh. She sighed and said "Oh, you remind me so much of Matt!"

They lived together in a yurt, you know.
No good can possibly come from using this vast wasteland of error and deliberate deceit. You should get off of it and warn others away. You should make sure your children and grandchildren know what a corrupt and morally bankrupt institution it truly is.

Hadn't seen "A Streetcar Named Marge" in a while, and afterwards thought 'was Waiting for Guffman influenced by this at all?'. It aired in '92. The director in the show was named Sinclair. Anywho... it's one of my favs.

The song New Orleans! Home of pirates drunks and whores, New Orleans! was sorta controversial at the time. And especially after Katrina.

This image always brings a tear to my eye. I think it's the sweetest and saddest moment the show has ever had.

I would put it as a tie with the "You are Lisa Simpson" note from Mr. Bergrstrom.

Lisa's duet on "Jazz Man" with Bleeding Gums Murphy got me then, it got me again during the marathon. Tears, darlings.
