I would pay good money to see Wanda Sykes as Madame.

I admit she's funny when acting. But she's so stupid that I have no tolerance to see her nor hear her on the View.

Maybe Cinderella will open up her eyes and she'll drop her homophobic hate.

I also loved her reality show Queen of Jordan. "It's my way 'til payday!"
No good can possibly come from using this vast wasteland of error and deliberate deceit. You should get off of it and warn others away. You should make sure your children and grandchildren know what a corrupt and morally bankrupt institution it truly is.

Queen of Jordan was absolutely hilarious. However, she was the most horrible part about HIMYM last year, and she isn't good on The View. You can't help how you were raised, but as an adult that level of ignorance is unacceptable. A lot of people agree with her though, and even more people who want to see Cinderella simply don't care about someone's personal views. Hopefully, she will learn a few things.

Wouldnt pay a dime to see her stupid ass-its too bad Nene, Wanda, Gladys Knight, Darlene Love, or Jennifer Lewis weren't available.

I had no idea she held those views. I had only known her from 30 Rock. She will probably be decent as Madame though, I can see her bringing some sass to the role.

However, she was the most horrible part about HIMYM last year

While her part was in no way a good part, she was far from the worst thing about that disaster of a season.

Ok, ONE of the most horrible things of the last season.

I had never heard the name before this thread, and now that I've looked up some info about her, I wish that had never changed.

A lot of people were brought up to believe lots of things. But as we grow we learn (if we have half a brain), that a bigot is a bigot is a bigot, as Gertrude Stein once said. Her "I love you but you're going to Hell" sh*t makes me puke. The producers and creatives who hired her should be ashamed.

I have been getting a good reaming from a handful of gay men on Facebook calling me a bigot for not accepting her opinions. The Uncle Tom mentality is disturbing.
Shepard is a loud and proud homophobe who drapes herself in the Bible and says "it's not MY fault... It is God.." and that makes her the worst kind.
The producers and creatives, particularly Beane, should be ashamed.

They aren't ashamed, perhaps they realize not everyone has the same opinions and views as they do. No one will be able to change her mind, and as long as she is respectful to everyone involved in Cinderella, I don't think it will be a big deal.

There is no possible way to be respectful to a person while thinking "love you, hate your sin.. You will be going to hell."

She is free to have those views. Do I agree with them? Absolutely not. However, most people keep those views to themselves while at work. Adults can be respectful and polite to everyone, regardless of how they are judging you in their head. That's what being an adult is.

Well I will wait for her to call out.

Sutton Ross-I suppose you defend Mark Rubio, who claims that those who oppose gay rights are really the ones being oppressed and treated as he puts it, 'like second class citizens'?

Sure I recognize not everyone feels the same as I do. There's one important distinction-I'm not on a major TV program and don't reach millions of viewers. Having beliefs is one thing, presenting them as she does is quite another.

Dreaming, of course I don't agree with him, I made my opinion known in this very thread about her, and how I think she is ignorant. Perhaps you should ask the producers of Cinderella the same question? There is a reason they cast her, but I can't think of one good one.

Yeah, I don't understand the casting at all. Perhaps she is a draw to the parents who watch The View?

Y'all, I am so embarrassed to admit it, but I bought her audiobook five years ago. I only listened good when she talked about her abortion and her whoring around, and then I deleted it off my phone. Swear to God.

At least I didn't waste extra energy turning the pages. I think that should count for something.

Darlene Love for Crazy Marie/Fairy Godmother would get me to go back though!

And what is Jackee doing for rent these days, I ask you?
"It's now rather very common to hear people say 'I'm rather offended by that'. As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more than a whine. It has no meaning, no purpose. It has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that'. Well, so f**king what?"--Stephen Fry

Speaking of Crazy Marie, there's a rumor circulating on the street that they are negotiating with an honest to goodness opera star to take over the role. No idea who it might be.
