You only have to look as far as the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE performance last week, where they did a portion of the opening number choreographed by Josh Bergasse. Granted, these are not Broadway dancers, they're dance convention kids, but to me it had that "across the floor" feel of a jazz class. Hopefully the Broadway choreography will be more definitive and fleshed out.
As far as this promo video goes, it's beautifully directed, shot and edited. I thought I was watching the promo for a remake of the movie, and not a promotion for a theatrical production. But, I guess it's heart is in the right place.
Agreed that it's brilliantly done and gives me an interest in this show that I would have not otherwise had. Question: Where would this promo be aired? Times Square? Before movies? It's too long for NY1.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

Yes loved this..I get all warm and fuzzy feeling when people shoot all over my hometown, NYC. Add a great song and talented performers and I can't wait to get tickets.
But someone please tell me where they were standing when they were looking at the Harry Potter characters. I couldn't place it..
Absolutely love that promo video. Will the designer for the Lyric revival be the same as for Barrington Stage? I really hope those sets get beefed up. Glorious as the material is and talented as the cast seems to be, that scenery will look awful tacky in a big a Broadway theatre.
Just wanted to mention that On the Town is performing at Broadway in Bryant Park on Thursday, Aug. 14, sometime between 12:30 and 1:30. I'm going to try to head over there in hopes that the stars will be singing! I've been avoiding these because they're too crowded, and I hate how the photographers and video people stand right in front of the stage and are a huge distraction. But I'll put up with that for a preview of On the Town! (It's the last one of the season, according to the schedule.) Broadway in Bryant Park 2014
