I watched all eight episodes of the docu-series as well, and it seems as if she was late for nearly every single appointment that she had. The two off the top of my head are a photo shoot for a magazine that they had to reschedule twice and also a halloween party event.

Hopefully you are right about this schedule being set months in advance and her being able to plan ahead, but with her, you just never know.

This show was Madonna's first and only foray into live theater.

Do a quick Google search to fact check yourself.

Though Madonna isn't the thespian she wishes she was, she has indeed had some creditable theater credits:

David Rabe's GOOSE AND TOM-TOM in 1986 at the Lincoln Center Theater
David Mamet's original 1988 Broadway production of SPEED-THE-PLOW at the Royale Theatre
David Williamson's UP FOR GRABS in 2002 at London's Wyndham's Theatre

Good grief, people jumping on me re: Madonna lol. I'm a mega-Madonna fan; I just forgot about the other shows.

Aaaaanyway - I wonder how the notorious UK paparazzi will treat Lindsay? Horrifically, I'm sure.

It's good she's starting her stage career with a role that has the range of an inchworm.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Why is everyone giving her **** for this? She may not be known for being on time for everything, but give her a chance. You can tell she is really trying to turn her life around. She is a really talented actress and I wish her all the best with this!

Addiction is a nightmare. Recovery is hard work. I can't imagine how difficult it must be with every smug, gossip-mongering jack-a$$ rooting for you to fail.

I wish her success--the best revenge.

Will Jeremy Piven also be in this? 'Cuz then I don't care what the cost is, I'm there!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I just hoped she isn't confused and thinking this is an edgy soft core movie called Speedily Plowed.

The Times reported that Lohan will make a “potential appearance” in the David Mamet play this November.

It seems like this isn't a done deal.

Jbroadway, the addiction thing is one thing, but she has done a lot of crazy things that had nothing to do with that. She just makes excuses for everything and blames everyone but herself. I just think a lot of people are done entertaining her b*ll****.

She's been trying for the last 10 years. And failing. She thinks that by staying in the public eye, trying to revise the ideals of relevancy, she is going to get back on track, but really she's just cloying for pity. Pity degrades. Degradation leads to further detachment, and it's straight back to the bottom from there.

You have to go away to have a comeback. She doesn't get that. So many celebrities don't, and that is why their mental illness goes untreated, and that is why she stays a mess. If work is so important, you make an effort.

She hasn't, and this is why people expect her to fail. It's the default response for a culture on cynical autopilot.

I'm a counselor, excuse the rambling.

I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. I want to live every whichway, among all kinds---and know them---and understand them---and love them---THAT's what I want! - Philip Barry (Holiday)

Here's a segment from Entertainment Tonight that that reports Madonna's Broadway debut in Speed-the-Plow including clips of her performance.
God, she was awful!

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

That ET segment is funny...esp seeing future Brodway peeps ( Brooke and Christie Brinkley) and people that need to come to Broadway ( Jenneifer Grey as Roxie come on needs to happen! )

Good Luck to LiLo

This is terrible, but I bet the first shows will be a huge success just because people want to see it, but I surely won't hop on a flight to London.

Good grief, she didn't sign up for EVITA. Everyone expects Neely O'Hara slumped against the garbage can, but she's spot-on for the fairly limited range role. I saw Madonna; it's not exactly Mary Tyrone. Schedule wise, it's mostly evening work, she will likely pull it off easily. (One mid-week matinee, 5 and 8:30 on Saturday.) A movie set at dawn is more demanding.

I wonder how she's gonna balance this with her hosting responsibilities on the View?
