I have become obsessively loyal to only shopping at Trader Joe's. Love their brand and the prices can't be beat. Plus their customer service is the friendliest around.

I've found peanut butter tends to inspire pretty fierce brand loyalty. For me it's Jif, probably because that's what I grew up on, though I will bounce around between varieties. I used to only do the regular Jif, then switched to their Simply Jif (with less sugar) back when I tried the South Beach diet, and now buy the Jif Natural.

And Nutella. No other chocolate hazelnut spreads come near it (even the Jif version).

I used to be fairly loyal to Barilla pasta, until I had regular access to Trader Joe's. So luckily by the time the Barilla "scandal" occurred I was already good and loyal to the Trader Joe's pasta.

We have a rule that if something comes in a generic form, we will try it once. We love on a single income, so it has really helped. We scan the ads and buy what is on sale.

In the US, I was a JIF loyalist, but you can't get that here. I am also absolutely a Coke girl. "Is Pepsi okay?" "Uh.. No!" lol. Here I don't eat peanut butter and rarely have soda. I miss having the extra cash to be brand snobby. lol

I don't like anything in my peanut butter except peanuts. I used to grind my own at a nearby health store, but now I buy Gourmet Garage, since theirs only has peanuts.

If I have peanut butter now, I make my own. I also make my own bread, tortillas, mayo, salad dressings... If I can make it, I try.

I'm generally not too picky about stuff like groceries or cleaning supplies. However, if I know I didn't like something or it didn't work, I won't buy it again.

I buy the Secret Clinical strength deodorant. And I've been buying some bath products like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash from a local company that specializes in natural products like that. I love them because you can customize your scents.

Heinz tomato ketchup. I recently bought a store "own brand" and it's a waste of money.

Yeah, I'm pretty stuck on Heinz as well, though now it's their organic ketchup. I tried it originally not so much because it's organic (though that's nice), but because I heard it tastes better than the original--and I agree. I think the main difference is cane sugar instead of corn syrup.

It's a little more expensive, but worth it to me.

I’m pretty brand loyal to Bounty Select a Size, but if 2 such tasteful posters such as Addy and Reg like Viva, I’ll give it a whirl.

I only like old fashioned Scott toilet paper. None of that soft, fluffy, quilted stuff for me.

I like original green Palmolive Dish Soap or Method. I’m very particular (ok, quirky) about scents and chemicals, and those tend to be least irritating to me.

And I just simply don’t understand the concept of ketchup other Heinz or mayo other than Hellman’s. Just can’t do it (but I prefer to make both myself anyway).

I’ll use almost any “free and clear” laundry detergent, even though I haven’t found one that really cleans very well. Any suggestions?

When my hair is curly, I couldn’t do without Ouidad products (well, I could, but, suffice it to say, it’s not a pretty sight….)

I’ll switch deodorant brands as long as it’s unscented and “invisible” (I think the person who really comes up with an invisible deodorant should win a medal).

I tend to mark up my documents at work in purple ink, and I really like Pilot Precise V5 purple pens (which I have to buy myself, as the office no longer does special orders) and we generally only get the old clear BIC ballpoint pens, which i can't write with without making a mess.

Like you IAMWHATIAM, I'm going to take a leaf out of Reginald Tresilian's book and try Heinz organic tomato ketchup.

I can imagine him have his staff serve it for him with a brunch served in his apartment overlooking Central Park.

Are you serious IAMWHATIAM?!! I was OBSESSED with Pilot Precise V5 purple pens in high school and college. I HAD to have them in purple. I would use other colors, but the two pack of purple were in my cart every time I was at that store.

Ketchup is tough. We tried several generic brands, but we prefer Heinz, too, even here. Products don't use HFCS, so it tastes better than the US brand. I bought the slightly cheaper Swedish brand today and my wife said, "Can we just give up the ketchup hunt and stick with Heinz?" lol

Sodas are better here, too, because no HFCS. Swedes tell their kids that candy is only allowed on Saturdays, so I make sure I only have soda on Saturdays and not every Saturday.

I have to use free and clear products because I'm allergic to all scents. So here's my suggestion for detergent- i also use bleach in with it.

Oh, and I'm Free and Clear and Unscented all the way, too, IAMWHATIAM and Jane!

My favorite pens (at work) are the Bic Fine point, Accountant pens - with the nerdy metal clip on them and the hexagonal shape, so they don't slip out of your hand. I love that they don't smudge and you can write alot in a teeny, tiny space on a very big spreadsheet with them. My company doesn't supply them, so I have to buy my own. But, it's worth it.

We switched to free and clear when the baby came. Before that, in the US, I was a Gain addict. I would ONLY use Gain detergents and fabric softeners.

I am also addicted to OPI nail polish. Still.

I only liked Hellman's Mayonnaise until I took a chance and tried Julia Child's recipe. I haven't bought it since. The shelf life of homemade stuff is never the same, but that tells you a lot. I make our hamburger and hot dog buns.

We really only drink Gevalia coffee.

Yes, homemade mayo is the best. But you reminded me that I recently fell in love with a Japanese brand called Kewpie. Again, it's more expensive, so if you use tons it may not be practical.

Reggie, don't be so modest; we all know you actually live in a manor in the English countryside.

I like Arm & Hammer free and clear/unscented laundry detergent.

IAMWHATIAM, we're also into the old-fashioned Scott toilet paper in my house. The quilted fluffy stuff winds up clogging toilets.

Heinz Ketchup, definitely. Gulden's or Kosciusko mustard depending on what I'm having it on. Hellmann's Mayo. When I was a kid, I couldn't stand Hellmann's. My Mom had to get Miracle Whip for me. At some point, I started hating Miracle Whip and switched to Hellmann's. Since then, I won't buy anything else. I only buy Coast (blue) soap, and I use Dawn (the original) for dishes. I'm not picky with laundry detergents. I'll buy whatever's on sale. Oh, and Scott toilet tissue here, too.

DAWN dish soap. If there's one brand/product that I am 100% loyal to, it's that. I don't think there's another brand out there that works even half as well as DAWN does.

Maybe now I'll get an ad pop up with a coupon!
