I'm finding the editing/proofreading process to be a lot more frustrating than the writing.

I have arrived at the most frustrating part of the process - the query letters.

1. Visit all 50 of the US; still have a few to go.
2. Attend the men's finals of Wimbledon, Aussie Open, and French Open
3. Finish the 3rd act of a play that's been stalled for YEARS.
4. Learn to play the bass guitar well enough to land a recording session gig.
5. Finally, start a software development business.
It ain't what I think of you, it's what you is.

Spend at least one full day in all fifty states. I'm a little over halfway to this goal.

Live in Germany for a year.

Have a play produced.

Achieve fluency in Italian.

Buy an apartment so I can finally stop renting.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

I just got this e-mail - something I am eagerly waiting to cross of my bucket list, though I never thought it would actually happen.

Kate Bush - Eventim Apollo, London

Hi there,

Dispatch update - going out soon!

We've now started to print the tickets for this event, so you should receive them soon. Don't panic if your friends get theirs before you - this is a big event, so we'll be sending them out in batches.

The latest you should receive your tickets is around 5 days before the event. If you still don't have them by that point, please contact us and we'll be happy to help.

Don't forget - the cardholder has to attend!

The name of the lead booker will be printed on each ticket and will be asked to present Photo ID to gain entry into the venue.

Some important details about the event...

The doors open at 18:15 and the show starts at 19:45 each night. Please keep in mind that age restrictions must be adhered to - this is a 14+ show. Under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult.

We hope you enjoy the show!

1)To go to the Westminster dog show and sit close enough to see all of the dogs.
2)To sing in front of people. I'm sadly introverted.
3)To relocate.
4)To learn Spanish.
5)To learn to cook. I keep my computer on my stove.

I want to twirl on that hillside in Salzburg, Austria (actually, Bavaria) that Julie Andrews twirled on as Maria in the opening of The Sound of Music. And plan on doing just that next year in celebration of the film's 50th anniversary!
