I guess they should have totally fictionalized her life to make a more palatable plot. How about she found a lamp and rubbed it and she got 3 wishes.Wait wrong show.

^ LOL. This may sound horrible, but I would've probably pay more to see that show than learning about her not-so-exciting life.

If you ask me, it belongs in a documentary, not a musical. IMO, the least boring thing in her life/the show was her marriage problems - that scene where she is telling her husband off after finding out about the 2nd affair.

Almost 900 responses and not a single vote for Paul Chahidi in Twelfth Night!?

To be fair, willep, that was mostly because he was a late addition. I did say this poll was unscientific. :)

Question

How can someone be a great actress in a show with no characters and mostly dancing and singing? Just curious

Have you seen her performance? You can't tell me she doesn't act the hell out of "Women Be Wise."

There's a precedent of performers in reviews such as "John Murray Anderson's Almanac", "Swing!", "It Ain't Nothing Like the Blues", "Jerome Kern Goes to Hollywood" etc. garnering nominations and wins. If they evoked a response and did a great job of performing in the eyes of the nominating committee, then they warrant a nom just like a scripted show.

I actually found think Jessie Muller will win a la JLY. I also hope After Midnight will win (won't happen) but I can hope. I feel really sorry for Kelli I do not think its her year. Can someone explain why Aladdin got a best book nom?
