Psedulous is onstage a lot. There are a few moments and songs he is offstage, but most of those songs are among the shorter ones.

Peter and Jerry in The Zoo Story, but I don't think one acts would count.

Greg in reasons to be pretty has only two and a half pages of off-stage time.

Eugene in Brighton Beach Memoirs, though not in all the scenes, is somewhere onstage most likely because the whole Jerome house is the set.

Li'l Bit in How I Learned to Drive is missing for one or two monologues from Uncle Peck and the Female Greek Chorus.

CB in Dog Sees God is only missing for a bit, Catherine in Proof is almost always on stage, Austin and Lee in True West.

That's all I can think of right now.

Bertie Wooster in BY JEEVES. He never leaves the stage, and sings in every song except for the one love ballad (which he observes).

Belle Poitrine in the 1999, Australian Hybrid and Charles Busch Hybrid versions of "Little Me" leaves the stage for costume changes and two dance numbers only. Otherwise she is onstage constantly.

Actually Martha is offstage quite a bit.

Blanche DuBois hardly ever is.

The First Continental Congress in 1776 has a few breaks, but they are all on stage quite a lot, for the majority of the show, particularly if it's done as a one-act, as it was originally.

And John Adams is rarely off. He has breaks during Cool, Considerate Men, Mama Look Sharp, and He Plays the Violin. I think he's on stage for the rest of the show.

I'm basing this off the film, but isn't Adams onstage for He Plays the Violin?

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

I believe Martha Jefferson sings "He Plays the Violin" to Ben Franklin and John Adams in the stage version as well. Perhaps best12 just meant that Adams gets a breather while she sings the song.

Is Zach in A Chorus Line considered "on stage" and thus hardly ever off or is Zach a role that is hardly ever "onstage" albeit present.

Zach should always be "present" if not actually on stage. I'd say he qualifies.

eta: Margaret in Light in the Piazza wasn't offstage much.

I think Deloris has very little down time in SISTER ACT as far as I can remember. She has a few very short breaks scattered here and there.
