"Walk Like a Woman" seems to have been changed more into a plot driven song. I could be wrong about that but I'm pretty sure I'm not.

As much as I love the concept album (and everyone on it), I would like a cast recording.

"You see pretty much everything and the cast will ask you to join the GA group for the last 1/3 of the show."

Are non-obscured balcony seat folks asked to join the GA group too?

It was interesting to see how they adapted the songs from the concept album to work as a musical. I thought Walk Like A Woman worked well; was the staging changed since previews?

I loved how Ruthie Ann Henshall looked exactly like Imelda but Jose Llana didn't look anything like the real Ferdinand - he was incredible eye candy!

Play Esq., you are right, seats & location were fine, I was able to lean over so I did not miss any thing at all. My partner chose to just watch the screen when action moved out of sight instead of leaning forward. He really liked the seats and being on the stage, thought it added to the theatrical experience. I did not mind it either and would sit there again.

Someone in a Tree2, no the folks up in the balcony stayed put but were asked to clap along.

Great show, hope to go back again before it closes. Also enjoyed Venice, it was a great day at The Public.

Question: Going to buy tickets online through the Public website for “Here Lies Love” and it only comes up with options for the Balcony/Box Seats or the Balcony/Box Obstructed seats. I checked a bunch of different dates and never saw an option for the standing room. Does this mean they are sold out of all standing room tickets? Or, am I missing something?

Standing room goes fast. I wish there was a function to check for the next available date with standing room only.

EDIT: I just checked and standing room is available for Wednesday June 19 and for Sunday June 23 - buy them quick!

Honestly, it didn't look like any standing room was available. I didn't check every single date, but I was clicking on random dates just to see and checked all options for the week I am in town and there were none that were offered. I am coming at the end of July and this seemed odd to me because it seemed like people have been able to get tickets not terribly far in advance and get standing room. Planning on calling the box office later, just to check.

Talked to the box office – all standing room tickets are sold out for the whole run. Yeesh! Snatched my balcony/box tickets up before those are gone, too. Sad I won’t be able to be with the crowd on the ground, but happy I will get to see it.

I think you did the right thing. You'll enjoy it from up there! I was plenty tired after standing and moving and dancing for that long! I was wishing for a seat.

When I went on Friday I commented to the person next to me that Matt Stone was in the audience; this person went on to ask me what the show was about then told me he was able to sneak in. I hope management gets on this quickly - they had one person who would tear the ticket but that shouldn't allow anyone to get in without showing a ticket or a stub. I should have reported his ass to the ticket taker as we here are paying top dollar and are barely able to get a ticket in the first place.

Held off for too long and missed out on the GA tickets. Went ahead and picked up balcony tickets thanks to this thread.

I don't think there is rush for the entire run. However, you can do stand-by tickets.

Rush tix are sometimes made available after the show is sold out due to last minute cancellations. You can check with the BO an hour before curtain. I think it's $25 per ticket, cash only. But availability is very hit or miss.

A tip about being in the seats vs GA: if you have a box seat ticket, you might be able to swap for a GA ticket if a GA patron arrives and needs to sit (too old/tired/ill to stand or they didn't realize they had to stand for the whole 90 minutes, etc). So when you take your seats you might let the ushers know that you are open to swapping for a GA spot if any become available.

Bump- has anyone done rush recently. I know tickets are only guaranteed for rush on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday. Are the tickets GA or in the the balcony. What time does the line form? Thanks!

I'm headed to NYC tomorrow to see a bunch of shows and had decided to try and rush HLL Monday or Tuesday. Unfortunately, I sprained my ankle last week, so I broke down and bought balcony seats. I will just have to boogie in my chair. For those who have sat up there, I have F 1 & 2, and appreciate any observations about the um, observation deck.

The line begins forming about 2 hours prior to the release of the tickets...so 3 hours to show time. I got there an hour before they went on sale, and was pretty far back in line but got in. Now that it's summer, I wouldn't risk getting there later than 90mins before they go on sale. Tickets are GA standing room. i believe I've also read that they sell Partial View box seats, but people do not recommend those.

What exactly would SRO be for this show?! Like, everyone is already standing?! Can you only stand somewhere special?

There is a balcony over looking the main dance floor/performance space. I am guessing that would be SRO. If I do it again, I would love to up there. There were too many people drunk/talking and not in to the show the first time I went. Ruined the whole experience.

I thought everyone on the other levels was seated, unless I'm being too literal about it being "standing" room...

The night I went, everyone was into it, plus David Byrne was there dancing amongst us and enjoying himself.

no, they stand too, (or they are high bar seats) and don't get to participate. If there are seats up there, no one was sitting. I think if you sat you would not be able to see anything.

I rushed last Monday. I was in line about 2 hours before and was 6-7th in line. They didn't have any floor tickets, and I sat in the boxes. When I got up there, they said we were free to stand whenever we wanted. The bar stools weren't bad either and I could see all of the action. The only thing I had trouble with was being right next to a speaker, so lyrics were hard to understand at times. Still had a lot of fun there.

I rushed on a friday 5 pm show. Went at 3 pm and i was the first in line,
when they were starting to sell tickets there were like 20 people in line and everyone got the tickets
And the theatre looks like it was not sold out, it was fairly empty, the last 3 rows of the stage seating
Were empty. So I think, the best bet would be go for a friday 5 pm show and you're sure to get the tickets?

Just to clarify, all floor/GA tickets are standing. All boxes are sitting. Rush has sold both.
