I feel like the performances really elevated the revival of Porgy and Bess. Obviously the original material is fantastic, but the cut and paste job they did with the revival was not great. I saw the show twice and both times I walked away thinking I would like to see this cast perform the opera, or at least a different musical adaptation. They were all uniformly excellent, ensemble included, and the production was very well-sung. And I'm still in awe of Phillip Boykin's Crown, it was such a towering and frightening and powerful performance.

James Barbour in almost everything he has been in. I actually liked most of his shows, but they never really became great.

Carly Rose Sonenclar in Wonderland. She was amazing in a horrid show.

Douglas Sills in The Scarlet Pimpernel.

Hugh Panaro in Lestat.
