Finally gave up on this dreadful show. I find the panel to be completely insufferable. And there isn't anyone on the horizon that's the least bit promising. With Whoopie at the helm, and the likes of Raven Simone and Stacey London auditioning, this show will never recover. Buh bye.

What do we make of Whoopi taking on the NY Times Monday for their admittedly yawn-inducing retrospective on the show's sequential implosions. It was bizarre, since she didn't contradict any of the substantive (if tiresome) accusations, just demand that everyone believe she doesn't start fights. And then she made us look at deer-in-the-headlights producers in the audience, who had to back up her claim. An odd moment on a show built on odd moments.

Yes, the current line-up is pretty much a dreary back-up chorus to Goldberg and Wallace. A little bit of Perez goes a long way, and when she's got her nose out of joint (i.e. 95% of the time) she can be insufferably smug. I can't figure out why she bugs the hell out of me, since I always admired her acting.

My votes are still for Ponder & London. Then come their new season in the Fall, they can find someone to replace Perez. There's really no need to bring her back.

From what I've been told, the big dogs loved when the panel included Raven and Stacey London. They wanted to check out Ponder and Raven together, and then soon they'll test out London and Ponder together.

Personally, I'd be shocked if they kept Perez.

I do know at one point they were talking to Raven and Stacey London. Not sure what happened to Stacey London.

I thought Michelle was fantastic in her weeks there.  She filled the Joy bear hole in more ways than one.  I do wish they would consider her.   I hate Raven and that Grizzela is boring and adds nothing.

UGH! Every decision they make is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! Cancel this mess of a show already. Unless they completely revamp it (and get rid of Whoopi!), it's beyond fixing.

There is also ZERO reason the show is under the ABC News division at this point.  Nicole should also get out while she can.  Someone needs to give her a show!

Raven is reportedly in for sure. Was hoping Cristela would join since her show just got cancelled but she's denying it.

The reason this show was so great was because they really had some heavy hitters in the beginning. Star Jones was a lawyer, Behar was a comedian, Vierra was a news anchor. Now they just have D-list actresses. It's not the same thing. They need people with some bite to them who aren't afraid to say what they want. Actresses/actors are so wishy-washy because they wanna get cast, ah.

considering how much Raven's been co-hosting, I'm not surprised.

I also would like it if Diane Sawyer, once rumored during last summer's scrabbling, is named the 5th new host this Fall.

Raven seems to be acting more since she's been on The View. Girl says what ever she wants that's for sure.

I say they have Perez return next season just to silence any haters. We'll have Whoopi, Perez, Wallace, Raven & someone out of left field. Kind of how Perez was a last minute pick last summer.

Whoopi's brother has passed away,  That is why she is not there.  But the show is now unwatchable.  They really need to cancel it.  If anything for respect of what it used to be.   Hopefully Nicole ( the break out star of this years mess) will be put to better use.  They seem to be wanting to kill it hard with the addition of Raven Simone.  Just unwatchable.

She is horrible in it.  Nothing out of her mouth comes off as sincere.  She is such a turn off. I also cringed when I read in the Vanity Fair article the part about how Barbra would call the control room and reprimand them when they got to heavy into serious subjects by telling them  "this is not meet the press."   It has felt that every time they start talking about something interesting they quickly dismiss it and go to one of there poll subjects.  Horrid.

From my understanding as of last week, the plan was to announce Raven's joining this week at Upfronts with all 4 of them but Whoopi's family emergency nixed that so they'll wait.

Here's a questions some friends of mine were discussing. Now that she's a "personality" do you think Wallace could ever reenter the political game?
