A newly restored edition of the 1962 Cinerama film, How the West Was Won is scheduled to be released in the USA on Blu-ray disc on the 26th of August 2008, priced at $34.99 (SRP). It was originally filmed with three interlocked 35 mm cameras and shown at a 2.89:1 aspect ratio on a curved screen with 7 channel sound.
The movie features some of Debbie Reynolds' most memorable musical and dance sequences on film.
