If eleoquent can be used to describe a hip hop musical this hip hop musical is elequent from beginning to end..all the elements are here for an evening that not only made me laugh,,,,but made me feel...and want more of these two amazing actors...if you miss this show...you are not in the inner circle of the musical theatre world. I saw Bash'd tonight. What a stunning piece of theatre. The sad part is that the theatre wasn't even half full. Those guys are fantastically talented. They have constructed something that is fresh, funny, and touching. I really enjoyed myself.
I believe there are two more performances left. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Everyone, get yourselves to the Village Theatre and experience this piece before it's gone.
Too bad the Actor's Playhouse is shutting down. This show would be a big success there. I have no doubt, though, that if there are producers with enough interest, that these guys can land an Off-Broadway space, and garner some great reviews and word of mouth.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

I didn't get to see Bash'd at Toronto Fringe, but it certainly was the one that gained the most buzz this year. Glad to see this show doing good elsewhere.
I just read the nytheatre.com Review of Bash'd by Martin Denton.
Very well-written and informative.
It's 3/4 way down the page, on the left hand column. Bash'd Review
