I hope this happens and it's a 'hit', if only because the non-success of the musical is perhaps the worst prediction the consensus of this forum has ever made. It's quite interesting.

Yeah, this will probably fall apart again, just like it did last time.

Nice list. It's a shame considering MEMPHIS has already been recorded/released on DVD too. But whatever.

The recorded MEMPHIS is available on Netflix if you have an account. I definitely think that WICKED and BOOK OF MORMON should get movies before this. Don't get me wrong, MEMPHIS was great, it's just not as worthy as WICKED or BOM. I think the WICKED movie would do very well. Many people who grew up knowing and loving the Wizard of Oz I'm sure would really love this, especially those dying to see it but can't afford the outragous ticket prices.

@johnnycantdecide so many of those shows you listed should NEVER be made into movies. (I.e. Hair, Spelling Bee, Avenue Q). So much would be lost if they aren't live.

I for one, think this could be fantastic if cast and directed well...

Now that Bee-yoncee has quit A STAR IS BORN, she's available, but J.Hud is obviously the obvious choice.
