Theatre Tuscaloosa Hosts 2 Showings Of THE SOUND OF MUSIC 6/2 At BAMA Theatre

Theatre Tuscaloosa is proud to present two showings of the beloved classic film, "The Sound of Music" June 2, 2009. The film will be shown at Tuscaloosa's historic BAMA Theatre, 600 Greensboro Avenue, in downtown Tuscaloosa.

Tickets for the 2:00 matinee performance are $6 per person; regardless of age. The 7:00 evening performance begins with a reception in the theatre's Greensboro Room hosted by the Encore society. Evening ticket prices are $10- adult and $6- child (12 and under.) Tickets are available at the door only; no presale is available. "The Sound of Music" cast members will attend both showings.

"The Sound of Music," directed by Robert Wise and adapted from the Rodgers and Hammerstein Broadway show, is based on the true story of the Trapp Family Singers. The film starred Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer, Peggy Wood, and Eleanor Parker.

Tuscaloosa is indeed "alive with the sound of music." Theatre Tuscaloosa's staged "The Sound of Music" production can be seen June 19-21 and 24-28, 2009 at the Bean-Brown Theatre on Shelton State Community College's Martin Campus, 9500 Greensboro Road.
