Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolfman are just three of the monsters that have been frightening people for generations. Whether in books, on television, or on the silver screen, monsters and scary stories are a large part of our entertainment culture. This is especially true when Halloween rolls around each year.

This fall, The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre will be bringing monsters and mystery together for a special Halloween event. Friday, October 25th and Saturday, October 26th, the theater will be hosting an Interactive Halloween Murder Mystery and Costume Party.

Over the years, in addition to its Mainstage and Children's Theatre seasons, Way Off Broadway has become known for its interactive murder mystery events. The themes of which have ranged from a murder during a television singing competition to a killing at a family reunion. No topic is safe when it comes to Way Off Broadway's mysteries. More often than not, these mysteries also include some of the wildest and over-the-top characters imaginable.

This Halloween Way Off Broadway will present Murder at Haunted Holllow - A Halloween Murder Mystery and Costume Party, starring all of the classic movie monsters. Set in the neighborhood of Haunted Hollow where all of the monsters have moved and made their home, it is time for the annual Haunted Hollow Home Owners Association Talent Show. But when one of the neighborhood monsters is murdered, the Halloween hits the fan and the audience must help solve the fiendish crime.

Murder at Haunted Hollow is the third mystery event at Way Off Broadway this year. Originally only two mystery events had been scheduled, The First Widows Club and The Family Fortune Fia$co. But when the idea of a murder mystery with all of the classic monsters was brought up, producers at the theater knew they needed to add a third mystery. And to make the night even more entertaining and to get the audience even more into the action, it will also be a costume party with prizes!

"This very well could be one of the funniest mysteries we have had at Way off Broadway," says Justin M. Kiska, Way Off Broadway's President & Managing Director and the person behind all of the theater's mysteries. "And it is so much fun to watch the audience get so into the show. Some people take it so seriously, writing down notes about every little thing they see and hear. Everyone thinks they can be the next Sherlock Holmes."

Murder at Haunted Hollow will have a limited two performance run October 25th & 26th at The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre. Door will open each evening at 6:00 p.m. for dinner with the Monster Talent show beginning at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $43 per person and may be purchased by calling the Box Office at(301) 662-6600.
