The Vagabond Players continues the 2011 season with Arthur Miller's masterpiece, Death of a Salesman. The issues Miller and Willy Loman grappled with sixty years ago are still prevalent today. The production, directed by Michael B. Zemarel, opens February 25 and runs through March 27.

Death of a Salesman traces the downfall of a modern tragic hero, Willy Loman, whose flaw is his misconception of the American Dream. The dream he has for himself and his family is based upon too many lies and not enough substance. He confuses money with success and his ability to make it in his youth, "riding on a smile and a shoe shine," the way to secure his family's future. As he ages and reality changes, his dream turns to fantasy and then nightmare. The excellent cast is led by Tony Calavito as Willy, Gregory Jericho as Biff, Helenmary Ball as Linda, and Chris Krysztofiak as Happy.

The Vagabond Theatre is located at 806 S Broadway in Fells Point. Performances are at 8:00 on Friday and Saturday, and at 2:00 on Sunday.

Tickets are $15; $13 for seniors/ students with a special $10 Student Night on Fridays. Reservations can be made by calling 410-563-9135 or online at vagabondplayers.org.
