Teatro101, producer of last year's critically acclaimed production of Side Show, is pleased to announce auditions for the remaining shows of the season. Auditions will take place starting at 10AM on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Mobtown Theatre (3600 Clipper Mill Road Baltimore, MD 21211 -see teatro101.com or mobtownplayers.com for directions). Sign in is from 9:30AM through 11AM. (We may not be able to see people signed in after 11AM, depending on turnout). Please bring headshot/resume and ALL CONFLICTS. See below for individual show breakdown. Further show information will be provided at the auditions.

The Shadowbox by Michael Cristofer

Show Dates: February 24 - March 12, 2011
Rehearsals: Begins mid-January 2011 (one or two rehearsals in Dec for read-thru)
The play revolves around a trio of terminally ill patients, each of whom lives in a separate cottage at a hospice facility. Each is being interviewed about the process of dying. For most of the play, the interviewer is unseen, which means that characters speak directly to the audience, as if they were the interviewer. The movie adaptation, directed by Paul Newman in 1980, went on to win Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations.
Roles needed:
3 men (must be able to play ages 25 - 45)
4 women (must be able to ages 25 - 60)

Cold readings will be provided; no monologues necessary. Callbacks may happen at this call. No roles have been precast.
Into the Woods with music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by James Lapine
Directed by David Gregory
Show Dates: May 12 - May 28
Rehearsals: Begins March 2011 (may meet once or twice prior for read-thru)
Stephen Sondheim's critically-acclaimed musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales and follows them further to explore the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests.
Approx. 7 men, 10 women (Please see http://www.mtishows.com/show_detail.asp?showid=000106. Role breakdown may vary.)
Prepare 16 - 32 bars of a legit musical theatre; no pop or rock musicals. Bring sheet music. You MAY bring something prepared from the show if you choose. Accompanist provided. Additional audition dates and callbacks may be necessary. However, casting may occur from this first call. No roles have been pre-cast.
