Skinner and Murney to Perform at Maryland's Strathmore, 6/24

Emily Skinner and Julia Murney will perform in 'Luck Be a Lady' at the Music Center at Strathmore, located in North Bethesda, Maryland, on June 24 at 8:00pm.  At the event, the two will sing songs including 'Come Up and See Me Sometime,' 'Ring Them Bells,' and 'Defying Gravity.' 

'Luck Be a Lady' will be hosted by Jim Caruso.  Prior to the event, there will be a party on the patio at 5:30pm.  Strathmore's Prelude Cafe will also be open beginning at 5:30pm. 

Emily Skinner starred on Broadway as Daisy Hilton in SIDE SHOW (for which she was nominated for a Tony together with Alice Ripley).  Her other Broadway credits include JEKYLL AND HYDE, James Joyce'S THE DEAD, DINNER AT EIGHT, and THE FULL MONTY.  Other credits include the Encores! productions of PARDON MY ENGLISH and A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN and MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG, COMPANY, and MAME at the Kennedy Center.  Skinner has also recorded several albums, including three with Ripley.

Julia Murney has appeared on Broadway in WICKED (Elphaba) and LENNON.  Murney's other credits include Andrew Lippa's THE WILD PARTY, for which she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award, FIRST LADY SUITE, EVITA, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, and A CLASS ACT.  She has also released a solo album, 'I'm Not Waiting.'
