Rapid Lemon Productions will present "Variations on Family," a collection of eight world premiere 10-minute plays by local authors, on stage at Theatre Project from Sept. 10-20. Performances will be Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 and available at Theatre Project, 45 West Preston Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201, at the door or online through www.TheatreProject.org. "Variations on Family" is directed by Rosiland Cauthen and features works by playwrights Kathleen Barber; DCarter; Tyrone Chapman; Rev. John J. Conley, S.J.; Kimberley Lynne; Larry Malkus; Shelbi L. Nelson; Alice Stanley; and Archie D. Williams Jr.

The Variations Project is an annual short play festival founded in 2005 by Run of the Mill Theater Company and features an audience-chosen theme each year. The Variations Project was named Outstanding Experimental Production for "Variations on Desire" (2005) and "Variations on Fear" (2006) by Greater Baltimore Theater Awards and Best Production for "Variations on Fear" (2006) by City Paper.

Rapid Lemon Productions is a repertory ensemble theater company dedicated to presenting new and original plays. Past productions have appeared at Woolly Mammoth Theatre and THEARC Theater in Washington, D.C. and at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore.
