Pumpkin Theatre is turning 45 and it's having a birthday party!

The theatre is celebrating big with character photo opportunities, cupcake decorating, puppet making, face painting, balloon animals, Santa, and much more. (Coffee for the adults!)

It all takes place on Sunday, December 16th. 2 to 3pm and 4:00 to 5pm. Beauty and the Beast shows are at 1pm and 3pm. Come for the Party from 2 to 5, come for the show, come for the after show celebration! All activities are held at the Pumpkin Theatre, St Timothy's School, 8400 Greenspring Avenue in the Hannah More Arts Center.

Wear party dress and/or prince and princess costumes (encouraged but not required). Cost: $5 per child - cash or check only. You may RSVP to pumpkintheatre@verizon.net or post your RSVP on Facebook. You can also walk in that day.

After the 3pm show there will be a celebration to honor Sister Kathleen Marie Engers for her service to the community. This event will honor Sister both as the founder of Pumpkin Theatre, delighting young children with the magic of imagination and storytelling and as an educator from Notre Dame College, educating and motivating the minds of young thinkers.

Donations are being requested in honor of Sister and will sponsor an annual production. The event supports Pumpkin Theatre’s 45th Anniversary Fund Drive to raise $45,000.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Sister Kathleen Marie Engers founded Pumpkin Theatre 45 years ago? We are honoring her an after show party. Her birthday will continue with a cocktail wine and hors d'oeuvre, reception and birthday cake. Come join in on the fun!
