Symphony Siren and Broadway Diva N'Kenge (Motown: The Musical and Sondheim and Sondheim) is continuing to make audiences rise to their feet, as she joins conductor Jack Everly and the BSO Super Pops for the thrilling Broadway Divas show, tonight - Saturday, March 31 - Saturday, April 2, 2016 (8:00pm) and Sunday, April 3, 2016 (3:00pm).

The NY Post called N'Kenge "Electrifying" in the role of Mary Wells that she originated in Broadway's Smash Hit Motown: The Musical and she is thrilled to be in Baltimore once again, as she is fresh off her Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra performance, and touring with several all-star casts at various Symphony Orchestra's throughout the country. N'Kenge looks forward to having another rewarding experience with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra - back at it again - reminiscent of when she performed in Classic FM's Four Decades of Radio Hits show - bringing her powerful vocals to a hall of thousands.

On Friday, April 1, 2016 (12:00pm), N'Kenge will be a part of The Coalition of African Americans in Performing Arts (CAAPA) Master Class series at Morgan State University providing a Vocal Masterclass to students interested in pursuing and fine tuning their vocal abilities. N'Kenge has given over 100 vocal masterclasses through Columbia Music Artists Community program throughout the country; and as a board member of CAAPA; she is proud to work with this organization that is committed to supporting classical music education and performance artists throughout the United States and abroad. CAAPA also provides yearly scholarship money, educational seminars, and more related to preserving the classical performing arts.

Having performed several times in the Maryland/Capital area, N'Kenge was seen at the Arena Stage for 3 Mo' Divas, where she received the Helen Hayes nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical. N'Kenge has also been a soloist at the Kennedy Center for the Children's Defense Fund; performed a recital at the Library of Congress, which was broadcast worldwide through NPR, and had the honor to sing for President Obama at the 2008 Commander-in-Chief's Inaugural Ball that was televised worldwide.

For a few days at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, N'Kenge will bring her enthralling sound to a host of blockbuster songs from some of today's hottest Broadway shows like Dreamgirls; Les Miserable; West Side Story; Chicago and My Fair Lady. Music Legend Berry Gordy describes N'Kenge as "the most versatile artist I know"; and see why Variety raves about N'Kenge's "show-stopping performances" as she is joined on stage by powerhouse singers Christina Bianco; Kristine Plumly, and Mandy Gonzalez. The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is an American symphony orchestra that performs over 130 concerts a year. They are based in Baltimore, MD and since 2007, the Baltimore SO has had Marin Alsop as their Music Director, the first female conductor in the post.
