Iron Crow Theatre Company will open their 2011-2012 season at Baltimore Theater Project with "Parallel Lives."

Iron Crow Theatre will open their 2011-2012 season with "Parallel Lives" (based on The Kathy and Mo show), the show that garnered Kathy Najimy and Mo Gaffney national attention. The sketch comedy show features the talents of Iron Crow Theatre's Katie-Ellen Simmons-Barth and Michele Minnick. Performed at Baltimore Theatre Project by the creators in 1986, Iron Crow's production is part of Baltimore Theatre Project's 40th Anniversary celebration. Simmons-Barth and Minnick portray a crew of hilarious characters who tackle issues of feminism, gay rights, and religion in America in outrageous and provocative ways. There are two preview nights, Thursday September 29th and Friday September 30th. The show then runs Oct 1st through October 15th. All shows at 8 PM. Matinees on Sunday October 2nd and October 9th are at 3 PM.

Later in the season Iron Crow will present an original work by company-member Sarah Lynn Taylor entitled, "I Want to Be a Gay Icon." This celebration of the gay rights movement through songs and stories will be presented at The Arellano Theatre on the Homewood campus of Johns Hopkins University November 10th, 11th and 12th. Iron Crow will present their production of Daniel MacIvor's "The Soldier Dreams" at Baltimore Theatre Project April 5th through the 21st. And to close out their season, Iron Crow will produce Adam Bock's "The Typographer's Dream" May 31st through June 15th at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church (Mount Vernon.)
