Iron Crow Theatre Company Presents PARALLEL LIVES to Open 2011-12 Season
The sketch comedy show features the talents of Iron Crow Theatre's Katie-Ellen Simmons-Barth and Michele Minnick. Performed at Baltimore Theatre Project by the creators in 1986, Iron Crow's production is part of Baltimore Theatre Project's 40th Anniversary celebration. Simmons-Barth and Minnick portray a crew of hilarious characters who tackle issues of feminism, gay rights, and religion in America in outrageous and provocative ways. There are two preview nights, Thursday September29th and Friday September 30th. The show then runs Oct 1st through October 15th. All shows at 8 PM. Later in the season Iron Crow will present an original work by company-member Sarah Lynn Taylor entitled, "I Want to Be a Gay Icon." This celebration of the gay rights movement through songs and stories will be presented at TheBaltimore Theatre Project on November 10th, 11th and 12th. Iron Crow will present their production of Daniel MacIvor's "The Soldier Dreams" at Baltimore Theatre Project April 7th through the 21st. And to close out their season, Iron Crow will produce Adam Bock's "The Typographer's Dream" June 2nd through June 15th at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church (Mount Vernon.)
