Heritage Players Present DEATHTRAP: A THRILLER IN TWO ACTS by Ira Levin. It will run from tonight, Oct. 11 through Oct. 27. Performances will be held at the Thomas Rice Auditorium on the campus of Spring Grove Hospital Center located in Catonsville, MD.

The Play

A play to kill for. Sidney Bruhl, a previously successful playwright and author of "The Murder Game", the longest running thriller on stage, has had a series of box office failures. He convinces his wife, Myra, that a play sent to him by a former student, Clifford Anderson, is a hit and invites the young man to his home to offer suggestions on improving the play while suggesting to Myra that he would consider killing him and stealing the script just to have another hit.

"Deathtrap " holds the record for the longest running comedy-thriller on Broadway and was nominated in 1978 for a Tony Award for Best Play. It opened on February 26, 1978 at the Music Box Theatre and closed at the Biltmore Theatre on June 13, 1982. Referenced as a play within a play, "Deathtrap" is two acts with one set and five characters. It has been frequently revived and was adapted into a film in 1982 starring Christopher Reeve, Michael Caine, Dyan Cannon and directed by Sidney Lumet.

ADMISSION: Adults-$15, Children/Students/Seniors/Active Military & Veterans-$13. A portion of the show's proceeds, as always, will be donated to charity.
