Married couples Karen and Gabe and Beth and Tom have been best friends for years, raising their children like a family, sharing their summers at Martha's Vineyard and dreaming how they will grow old together. Yet one evening at dinner, with Tom Heading out of town, Beth breaks down and tells Karen and Gabe that her marriage to Tom is falling apart, starting a chain reaction as each one attempts to come to terms about their relationship with each other.

"A breezy comedy of modern manners that turns poignant and deeply affecting by its end." - The San Francisco Examiner
