Everyman Theatre has announced the cast of the Tony Award-winning comedy, God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza. Resident Company Members Megan Anderson, Deborah Hazlett, and Bruce Randolph Nelson will be joined onstage by celebrated DC actor Christopher Bloch. The comedy is the second production in Everyman's new home located in downtown Baltimore, which opened this January.

Two high-strung couples, Alan and Annette Raleigh (Bruce Randolph Nelson & Megan Anderson) and Michael and Veronica Novak (Christopher Bloch & Deborah Hazlett), decide to meet one evening for a civilized discussion about a playground altercation between their two young sons. What follows is a comically explosive downhill slide from polite, political correctness to full-on character assassination.

"Watching a performance of God of Carnage is like witnessing a hilarious train wreck happen before your very eyes," says Artistic Director Vincent Lancisi. "Soon into the play you're afraid you might know where the story is going and it does so - brilliantly. Our resident actors bring the nuance of their offstage relationships to enhance their roles onstage creating uber realistic, intensely funny portraits of married life and parenting."

Resident Company Member Megan Anderson will play Annette Raleigh. MS. Anderson was last seen in 2012's You Can't Take It With You as Essie. Resident Company Member Bruce Randolph Nelson, last seen as Steve in August: Osage County, will play her husband, Alan. Deborah Hazlett, another Resident Company Member, who was recently seen as Barbara in August: Osage County, will take on the role of Veronica Novak, with Christopher Bloch as her husband, Michael. Mr. Bloch has appeared on the Everyman stage multiple times in shows such as Rabbit Hole, Art, Uncle Vanya, and Jacques Brel.

Eleanor Holdridge will be directing the production. Ms. Holdridge directed Everyman's production of Pygmalion in Spring, 2011. She is currently the head of the Directing Department at Catholic University in Washington, DC. She has worked at numerous regional theatres, including Shakespeare and Company, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis, Portland Stage Company, Northern Stage, Round House Theatre, and Theater J. The rest of the creative team is comprised of Set Designer Timothy R. Mackabee (Fifty Words), Lighting Designer Martha Mountain (Everyman debut), Costume Designer Ivania Stack (Heroes, Fifty Words) and Sound Designer Christopher Baine (Fifty Words).

God of Carnage runs from March 13 through April 7, 2013, offering performances Wednesday through Sunday, with selected Tuesday evening performances.

Single tickets for God of Carnage are now on-sale and range in price from $10 - $60. 3-Play subscriptions are also currently on sale to the public and range in price from $83 - $143.

Everyman Theatre is proud to partner with Style Magazine as the Media Sponsor of God of Carnage.
