CENTERSTAGE is excited to announce the lineup for its 2009-10 Cabaret Series! The theater welcomes back Associate Artist E. Faye Butler, Broadway legend Judy Kaye, Scottish singer Euan Morton, and Baltimore-native Tracie Thoms as it launches this season-long musical series.

Earlier this spring, CENTERSTAGE announced a new and diverse programming model for 2009-10, including the newly inaugurated Cabaret Series as part of 14 different theatrical offerings. These Cabarets will reflect a mix of musical styles, each running for only four nights!

October 15-18 Judy Kaye

Tony Award-winner Judy Kaye returns after her huge success in CENTERSTAGE's 2008-09 season closer Souvenir. Her Broadway credits include Tony-nominated roles in Mamma Mia! and Souvenir; plus Ragtime, On the Twentieth Century, and her Tony Award-winning role in The Phantom of the Opera.

November 12-15 Euan Morton

Scottish singer/actor Euan Morton was a hit as the featured performer at this year's CENTERSTAGE Gala. His stage credits include numerous roles in the UK and New York, including originating the role of Boy George in the musical TABOO in London's West End (Olivier Award nomination) and then on Broadway (Tony nomination).

February 11-14 E. Faye Butler

A special Valentine's treat, CENTERSTAGE Associate Artist E. Faye Butler-whose ideas inspired the Cabaret Series-returns after her thrilling performance in the title role of CENTERSTAGE's 2008-09 production of Caroline, or Change. After the Cabaret, E. Faye will return for the finAl Pearlstone Series production of the season, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom by August Wilson.

April 29-May 2 Tracie Thoms and Friends

The talented Tracie Thoms, a Baltimore native and School for the Arts graduate, appeared in CENTERSTAGE's 2007-08 First Look reading of Lynn Nottage's By the Way, Meet Vera Stark, and the 2001-02 production of A Raisin in the Sun. Tracie is known for her recurring role on Cold Case, and recent roles in the film version of RENT and the clever but short-lived TV series Wonderfalls. Inspired by her guest performance with RENT co-star Adam Pascal at the 2007 CENTERSTAGE Gala, she will be joined throughout the weekend by special musical guests.

Cabaret Series tickets are currently available only as part of a 2009-10 Season membership; certain performances are already nearly sold-out. Patrons will also be able to curate their own season with customized ticket packages to suit any interest.

Details on memberships can be found by visiting www.centerstage.org or by calling the CENTERSTAGE Box Office at 410.332.0033.
