Matthew Lutton directs a cast of seven diverse performers including John Gaden, Ewen Leslie and Belinda McClory in Louise Fox's new adaptation of Franz Kafka's novel, The Trial. The indefinable, elusive and mysterious power of Kafka's wit, clowning, farce and obsession with the erotic is mined to the full in Sydney Theatre Company's partnership with Malthouse Melbourne and Perth's ThinIce. Performances at Sydney's Wharf 1 commence on 9 September 2010, opening 14 September.

John Mellencamp's No Better Than This Tour will be in St. Louis, Missouri, at the Fabulous Fox Theatre, on November 6. Opening the show is the documentary film 'It's About You' which chronicles the creation of the 'No Better Than This' album.

Award-winning chef and restaurateur Toni Pais has decided to close his downtown dining establishment, Café Zao, located at 649 Penn Avenue in Theater Square, a project of The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. The restaurant doors will close officially on Monday, August 9, 2010.

Bassist and composer Buster Williams leads his Something More ensemble in a presentation of flamenco and jazz entitled Spanish Sun - Flamenco Rising, with Mark Gross on saxophone, Eric Reed on piano, Ignacio Berroa on drums, and special guest Adam del Monte on flamenco guitar, at the Iridium Jazz Club on August 6-8, 2010.

Theatre for the New City will host EGO ACTUS presents BROWNSTONE BREAKDOWN from August 12 until August 22. The play is written by Carol W. Berman and directed by Joan Kane. It will feature William Allgood, Debby Brand, Alfred Gingold*, Cat Migliaccio, Shai Trichter*, Viet Vo, and Richard Zekaria.

Two generations of Australian ballet talent come together to present Edge of night for The Australian Ballet in 2010. In keeping with the company's tradition of caring for tradition while daring to be different, Edge of night is a triple bill where resident choreographer Stephen Baynes presents two critically acclaimed works alongside a world premiere for rising star Tim Harbour.
