The Emergent Arts Theatre Company (2009's The Mousetrap and 2011's Arsenic and Old Lace, both at The Arthur Miller Theatre, and Waiting For Godot at Riverside Arts Center) presents Neil Simon's legendary comedy The Odd Couple on May 24 through 27 at the Arthur Miller Theatre in The Walgreen Drama Center, 1226 Murfin, on the North Campus of the University Of Michigan in Ann Arbor. As Chicago's all-Latina theater company approaches its 12th anniversary and launches its new community arts center Luna Central in Chicago, it is expanding its national reach. Its upcoming world premiere of Los Angeles playwright Diane Rodriguez's, Obie award winner and TCG board member, new play LIVING LARGE IN A MINI KIND OF WAY is a comedy with immigration drama and universal issues about identity and privilege. Luna brings light to this exploration of the American Dream. Rodriguez will also direct the play.

Teresa Wakim Makes Handel and Haydn Society Solo Debut in Mozart Coronation Tonight

Soprano Teresa Wakim makes her Handel and Haydn Society (H&H) Symphony Hall debut as a featured soloist with Mozart Coronation, H&H's final program of the 2011-2012 Season. Wakim, a member of the H&H professional chorus since 2003, will be stepping in to replace scheduled guest Rosemary Joshua, who has withdrawn from her appearance due to personal reasons. Performing with Wakim is tenor Thomas Cooley, who returns to H&H in Mozart Coronation after most recently performing in Mozart Mass in C Minor in 2010; he can be heard on H&H's recording of the work, released on CORO. Soloists also include mezzo-soprano Paula Murrihy and Boston-based baritone Sumner Thompson, who both return toH&H after having performed as members of the H&H Chorus as well as guest soloists. Murrihy most recently appeared in Handel's Messiah in 2008, and Thompson was heard last season in The Bach Experience.

Joseph is played by AACT National Best Actor Award nominee Jonathan Conner who shined as B Flat in the award winning Depot production of Second Samuel. Directed by the Depot's Executive Director Kristy Meanor, the musical comes to life as Joseph finds out the hard way that blood is not always thicker than jealousy.
