Jeff Shaevel performed for 2 years in the original cast of the Zachary Scott Theatre production of “Shear Madness” in three different roles, plus 6 months in the 1997 revival as the shop owner, Tony. His performance as Arnold in Zach Scott’s “The Boys Next Door” earned him a B. Iden Payne nomination for Best Actor in a Comedy. He won an ACT Award (NOVA Alliance of Community Theaters) for Best Supporting Actor as a different Arnold in “Biloxi Blues” with Dominion Stage. He also conducted the Arlington, VA, premiere of “Sunday in the Park with George” under the direction of Eric D. Schaeffer and composed music for Zach Scott’s production of “Six Degrees of Separation".
