BroadwayWorld is excited to announce the first annual Digital NYC College Senior Showcase!

All across the country theatres are temporarily shutting their doors to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. Regional theatres hosting everything from major titles like HAMILTON (both in Los Angeles and San Francisco) and CURSED CHILD to smaller non-profits like the Bay Area's Theatreworks are feeling the pressure. TheatreWorks cancelled their current production and their upcoming production of RAGTIME set to open next month.

UPDATE: Performances of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will now be canceled through April 30.

BroadwayWorld has learned that an usher working at the Booth Theatre has tested positive for Coronavirus and has been quarantined.

Last week the cast of Hadestown announced amid the coronavirus outbreak, they would no longer stage door following performances. Yesterday the cast of Beetlejuice made the same call.

Presley Ryan will star as Lydia in the smash hit musical BEETLEJUICE from Friday, February 28, through Sunday, March 29.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Presley Ryan will take over the role of Lydia Deetz in BEETLEJUICE on Broadway beginning tonight through the weekend. She succeeds Sophia Anne Caruso who played her last performance this Wednesday.

Rob McClure addressed concerns about how the upcoming Mrs. Doubtfire handles it's crossdressing lead character following media reports of the show seeking advice from GLAAD, amongst other LGBTQ+ advocating organizations. While a production representative was unable to confirm, reliable sources report to BroadwayWorld that the Britney Spears musical ONCE UPON A ONE MORE TIME will begin Broadway previews at the Mariott Marquis on June 26th, 2020, with an official opening night set for July 30th.

In July 2009, in the backroom of a narrow shop, two young, first-time playwrights performed their first musical at the Toronto Fringe. The show had a quirky title that immediately got it attention.
